So today's picks may be geared a bit more toward the teen/tween family dynamic but use your own discretion (and Common Sense media) and enjoy! We're also going to pretend that I accidentally publish this post last week, mmmmkay?!?!?!
Ocean's 11
This is probably in my top 10 movies of all time. Again, one that I could watch over and over and never get tired of.
Troop Beverly Hills
I had forgotten how much fun this one was until a recent re-watch.
Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken
I ADORED this movie when I was a kid and am currently working on getting Griffin to watch it with me. She HATES movies with animals in them (even if nothing happens to the animals - hahaha) because she's worried something MIGHT happen. I'll keep y'all posted!
Pirates of the Caribbean
This is one of my family's "no brainer" movies. Where we know we all love it and can watch it any time.
Hook
Sister Act
This may bring up a few questions from younger kids BUT it's such a great movie and the music is unmatched!
Richie Rich
This was another favorite of mine as a kid and all of my kids enjoy it as well.

I quickly realized that the movies I watched as a tween/teen were completely inappropriate when we began watching Sixteen Candles with our 14 year old... thanks for the recommendations!
ReplyDeleteBlank Check is another good one that we have watched with our kids. Portions of it didnt age well, but my kids really liked it!
ReplyDeleteI'm the same way about animal movies. I love animals too much to watch them in movies. There is a website that warns about animal death (and other trigger warnings) in various movies called Does the Dog Die. I haven't visited it in a while, but it might help Griffin make an informed decision.
