San Fran Trip Pt 2

Sunday morning we slept in a bit, grabbed breakfast at the hotel, and then got ready to head to the Giants game! Two years ago when we were in Seattle the Rangers were playing the Mariners and it was Father's Day so I grabbed tickets and we had the best time! Then last summer when we were in Boston the Red Sox were playing the Yankees so we went and got to experience that game and had a total blast. When I started researching San Francisco and looked into baseball games that were happening I saw Oracle Park and knew we had to go!

Can we talk about when this girl got this big?!?!?!

We took an uber to the stadium there were people out front talking about how it was Hello Kitty day and they were out of the giveaway boxes at that gate. We had no clue what they were talking about BUT we decided we had to figure it out so we literally walked around the entire stadium to get to a gate that still had the surprise boxes ;) hahaha

It ended up being worth it because we got to see the GORGEOUS bay side of the stadium and saw all the boats in the marina!

IN and got our Hello Kitty boxes ;)

CAN YOU EVEN?!!?! The stadium was so cool and our seats provided the PERFECT view of the bay. The sun was out and it was STUNNING!

The game was sold out, but in the later innings the row behind us cleared out and the boys moved up to get int he shade ;) We were totally covered by maybe the 7th inning but even in the sun it wasn't too bad which was so nice!

We opened our surprise boxes which was so fun...

... and literally just couldn't get over the view.

Y'all know I stopped drinking soda a few years ago - BUT on vacation I indulge my soda habit (hahahaha) and this MAY have been the best diet coke I've ever had. No lie.

We're ballpark hot dog purists so we had to get a few of those and then we tried the garlic fries which were next level. SO MUCH GARLIC!!! I'd definitely get them again!

Again - not sure when she got old enough to be reapplying lip gloss in the bathroom mirror and being taller than me! hahaha

I love this picture so much even though you can't see half of our faces and those that you can see are squinting. Such a fun family experience!

After the game we were about to hop in an Uber to head back to Fisherman's Wharf, but it was crazy busy and the weather was gorgeous so we just started walking. Turns out it was a little over 2 miles back but we walked along the water, stopped to take in the views, etc. and the walk turned out to be a total highlight.

Like COME ON with those views!!!

Can y'all tell that Mason was behind the camera on this walk? ;)

We ended up at Pier 39 because we wanted to see the Sea Lions...

.... and they were way better than expected! They're at the end of the pier and you can hear them before you see them.

There are SO MANY of them and they're so fun to watch!

Okay - so the rest of Pier 39 wasn't really for us. It was VERY crowded and super "touristy", which I'm not opposed to but this was just A LOT! It could have just been how busy it was but after the sea lions we booked it out of there!

While we were watching the sea lions we were watching the goldola/ferris wheel and so we walked that way, got tickets, and hopped on.

The views were great and I think we went around maybe 4 or 5 times so it definitely felt "worth it".  We had talked about going at night but overall are glad we went during the day where we could see various points in the city.

Walking a little further down we popped into the larger Boudin Sourdough location (there was a small storefront on Pier39 that was PACKED!)...

... and grabbed some tomato soup in a bread bowl and their mac and cheese.

At this point Mason was not feeling great again despite his decongestants and stuff so he and Dave headed to Walgreens to get some Vicks and shower steamers and a few other things and Luke, Griffin and I kept on walking toward Ghiradelli Square.

Toes back in the bay and a peek at the Golden Gate bridge back there...

We made our way to the Chocolate Experience...

... which was less an experience and more of a giant store. I'm not sure what we expected (and it was still great) but it just totally different than what we thought it would be.

We ordered one of their famous hot fudge sundaes and enjoyed it outside which was a core memory moment for me!

Luke, G and I walked around a bit more and checked out the neighborhood a bit...

... we couldn't get over the Waymo's everywhere! If you're unfamiliar (like I was!) they're essentially driverless Ubers and they're EVERYWHERE!

We got back to the hotel,  watched some Office and then went and grabbed some late night In and Out and yep... that's Mason back there rallying (again!). hahaha

It was a FULL and fun day!
