Valen-spiration

Happy Monday, friends!  Today I'm sharing some "Valen-spiration" as we get closer to February and in case you need a quick and fun project today with your kids home :)

I've talked about Cards for Hospitalized Kids several times - essentially you create cards, mail them to the organization and they distribute them to children's hospitals all over the country.  In  this post I shared a few more directions as well as a BUNCH of cards you can print, color and mail in.  It's a project that all ages can do and is so so so important.

You can check out our Love You Brinner 2019 which was just a sweet little dinner we did last year for Valentine's Day...

And these Heart Suncatchers are simple and you probably have everything on hand you need to make them.

You can read about our Valentine's Day 2018...

And one of our very favorite Valentine's traditions in this Kind Words Post.

Last year I shared a Valentine's Day Doodle Town...

... and two years ago this Heart Candle Jar craft that I used as the craft in Luke's class Valentine's Day party.

And last,  but not least I did a family book club post about The Day It Rained Hearts

Happy Monday, friends!!!  Here's hoping you found an idea or two to inspire you this season!

  5. Froma long-time follower, I have been incredibly inspired with your C4HK service. My 6th grader had to do a community service project over the last couple of months, and chose to get our little community involved with making cards for C4HK. She mader her own cards and printed off some of yours that you've made available on your blog, and then actively participated in getting groups in our town to make cards that she then sent off to C4HK. She worked with her after-school community service group, Sparks of Service, she presented to a couple of different 3rd grade art classes in our school and got them to create cards, and finally set of a card-making station at our local preschool and got preschoolers and their families at drop-off and pick-up to sit down and makes some cards. In all, we setn off 3 packed-full manilla envelopes off full of Christmas, Hanukkah, winter, and general 'you are awesome' cards. She then has to put together a PP presentation explaining what she did. Thanks so much for the inspiration!
