WIWW - Anna Grace Needs YOUR Help Edition :)

So how fun was yesterday?!?!?! Y'all are all so so so cute!!! I haven't had as much time to read through your stories as I'd like - but you better believe I'll be spending my lunch break readign through them all week :)  And thank you for all the LOVE for Dave and I... and especially Dave... he really is the best and all of your sweet comments were so nice - thank you!!!

So, on to the outfits :)

Up first is the new Tomato Brilla hoddie from Evys Tree.  I discovered Evy's Tree a few months ago and have since become a total addict.  I wear their hoodies ALL THE TIME!  I consider myself a little bit of a hoodie expert (Sheaffer will vouch for me) and these are the best of the best.

As soon as the brilla arrived on my doorstep I ripped open the package and threw it on.  The color is PERFECTION and is has thumb holes! THUMB HOLES!!!  So so so comfy!

I paired it with my Manda Strong tee, distressed jeans, TOMS flats and was ready for errands.  Cute and comfy.

I may also be notorious for wearing it with my sweats after school as well... and the ruffle goes all the way around the hood!

Here I am wearing it while earning the mother of the year award adn attempting to haul two kids onto the tire swing at the park (my mom took the pic while cracking up and NOT helping - hahaha)

and if you order the Tomato Brilla, you should probably check out their other items, because Holy cute!!!

If you've read here for long, then you know how much I love my TOMS ballet flats AND this pair is on sale and still seem to be available in lots of sizes from the TOMS site.

Next up is this aztec sweater and crown tee that I wore out on Sunday night for our Sunday School's class monthly girls social.

My cardigan is sold out, but check out these cute options!!!

Last night we went to dinner with Dave's parents, grandmas and brother and I wore my distressed jeans, a mustard oversized sweater, TOMS flats and blanket scarf.  All blanket scarves from TaraLynns are now only $15.99 with code BLANKETSCARF !!! Hurry!!!

My Barrington Bag held all the out to dinner necessities (i.e. wipes, an extra t-shirt, sippy cup, etc. hahaha)

Next up is our new Spring Matilda Jane!  G and I have been loving the fresh colors and patterns!

If pastels aren't your thing, be sure to check out the new Lovely Life pants.  I wore them on Saturday to brunch (with the best denim jacket ever any Nena and Co bag) and got tons of compliments.
I'll be hosting online again on March 1st - so if you want a pair, just let me know!

Last up is the most fun WIWW thing EVER!  Y'all remember my Anna Grace, right? Yes... she's not just Anna Grace.... she's OUR Anna Grace :)  I had the PLEASURE of teaching Anna Grace in Middle School and she helps me out a lot in the summer.  It's AMAZING how helpful an extra set of hands at the pool is when you have three little ones :)   Anna Grace is sweet and special and is even prettier on the inside than she is on the outside (which says A LOT because she's beautiful!!!)

Here she is with my kiddos Halloween 2013 :)

Well, much to my chagrin, Anna Grace is growing up (boo hoo!) and is headed to PROM this Spring!  She and her mom texted me the other night when they were dress shopping and I offered up my opinion(s).... as did Shay and Sheaffer :)

And now, we're soliciting PROM dress advice from y'all!  Because, how fun is it to pretend that we're all 5'10, super gorgeous and picking out a PROM dress, right??? :)    So, comment below and chime in with your pick!

Dress One - Sassy and Sequiny and Polkadotty :)

Dress Two - Barbie Goes to Prom

Dress Three - Hello, Gorgeous!!!

Dress Four - Ummmm.... Stop Growing Up :)
Please note Leeann in the background... doesn't she look like she's having the BEST TIME EVER!!!  Shoutout to all the mamas out there Prom shopping with their daughters.  I'm taking a big 'ol swig of my Starbucks just for you right now!  Hopefully you have some dark chocolate stashed somewhere in your purse :)

So.... which one should she pick?!?!?!  I've already cast my vote and I'm pretty sure everyone already knows which one it is... because I want to buy it and wear it to the grocery store, and the park and to work.  I DIE.

Happy Wednesday, Girls!!!

WIWW: My Little Scarf Trick

I'm happy to report that yesterday was another day full of happy.  Minimal middle school shenanigans, happy kiddos and mexican food (and lots of shenanigans) with my girls!  I'm hoping to keep the "happy" ball rolling all week long!

It's been a while since I've done a WIWW post, but today is your lucky day. ;) hahaha

Yesterday to school I wore one of my easiest outfits.  I woke up late and needed to throw something together really quick.  I ended up with a white polka dot top (I got it at Rack a while ago), my favorite denim jacket, black linen pants, wedges and a scarf.  These linen pants are some of my favorite - but keep in mind that they're LONG!  I'm wearing wedges with them and they hit the floor (which is exactly how I like them).

I like this outfit because it totally changes depending on the accessories I pair it with.

My scarf is actually a normal, lightweight, non-infinity scarf that I draped and pinned more like a blanket scarf...

Since y'all seemed to really enjoy my blanket scarf tutorial video, I decided to make another one to show how I tie my "spring scarves"...

I made this video after Dave got home last night and before running out the door to dinner with my girlfriends.  I had time to do it one time, hence all the ummmms :)  Hopefully it was helpful and made sense.  I taught lessons on calculating surface areas of triangular prisms and cylinders, writing function rules and simplifying and factoring radical expressions yesterday and I feel like I was more clear during those ;) hahaha

If you're looking for some fun new scarves to try this out on, check these out!

Thanks for reading and watching and not making too much fun of my super awkward video skills :)

WIWW

Happy Hump Day! Today I am chaperoning the Kindergarten field trip to the Dallas Children's Theater.... pray for me.  People often joke with me about being a "saint" since I work with pre-teens all day long and we all know how weird pre-teens are, but the truth is that there is a special place in heaven for Kindergarten teachers.  I mean.... the nose wiping, the line leading, the tattle taling.  I don't know how they do it.  For reals.  I'm super excited to get to spend some time with Luke and his buddies - and we get to ride a school bus which apparently is THE BEST THING EVER IN THE HISTORY OF EVER!!!  ;)

It's been a while since I've done a "What I Wore" post... mainly because, being sick, I haven't worn anything super interesting.  Last week I was in "survival mode" and wore my Evys Tree sophie WAY too often.  It's a hoodie - but definitely better than wearing my XL "Go Mustangs" hoodie that I like to sport at home. :)

I was loving the colors in my "stack" on Saturday... turquoise is one of my absolute FAVORITES for Spring/Summer and I loved how well the Jardin bracelet fits right in!

And check out the Jardin chandeliers!!!  So fun for summer!

And since I"m keeping it real up in here - I've been LIVING in my flannel pjs :)
(sidenote... I am cracking up at this picture (it's post make-up removal) because I had a student yesterday act SHOCKED when I told him I was going to be 31.  He genuinely thought I was 20.  hahaha  Although looking at this picture I can kind of see why he thought that considering I feel like I look like I'm 12.

But back to the pjs!

This bird pair is screaming my name.  Look how cute those little birds are!!!

And these pairs from PJ salvage are sassy and sweet (and comfy... let's not forget comfy)

This weekend has been CRAZY warm here in North Texas and I decided it was time to break out the linen pants.  I know.  White linen in January.  What can I say... I'm a rebel... a rebel in white linen pants.

I tried to keep them a little more "winter" with a dark violet ruffle tee and cocoon sweater.

If you're looking for a pair of linen pants for Spring/Summer (like a normal person), I love this pair (in white and black!!!)

Monday I cuffed some navy cords, threw on a white tee, laced up my TOMS wedges and sported the tartan blanket coat from Anthro.  Listen.... this isn't for everyone and there are several of y'all out there rolling your eyes at me at this very moment.... but I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE it :)

During high school I was a total conformist.  For my first high school dance I bought a GORGEOUS and huge black tulle skirt with a black, fitted, cropped long sleeve cashmere sweater.  I LOVED it!  Until I realized that everyone else was wearing typical "1999 formal dresses" and I returned it to the sweet little boutique and wore a lilac dress (in february) and looked just like every other girl there.  I hated it.... but HEAVEN FORBID I stand out. My Senior year of high school I decided to let my crazy show a bit and started really developing my own style (y'all.... I sewed name patches all over a denim jacket and wore the JUNK out of it.  I started wearing dresses with colored tights to school and proudly wore the only colored dress on Homecoming court.  My prom dress was about 20 lbs of pistachio colored raw silk and I was happier than ever because I was wearing things that I loved.

So, that tends to be my motto now... I wear what I love.  Is my style for everyone?  Certainly not.  But how BORING would it be if we all wore the exact same thing all the time??  End diatribe spurred on by a coat :)

Yesterday, I put my white linen pants back on, paired with a black flowy top and denim jacket.  I accented my simple outfit with some awesome accessories including these Grace chandeliers.

Mama needs a tan.

If you've read here for a while, you know how much I love Farmgirl Paints on Etsy and her custom hand stamped cuff bracelets.  Well... she's opening shop up again on February 2nd and I can't wait!!!  I got this bracelet to remember how Mason said "Lasterday, this day, Nexterday" and I'm so glad because he's already starting to use the proper words!!! BOO for growing up!

I'm considering an order and am thinking about these sayings on my next cuff...
"Comparison is the thief of joy"
"Gwippin"
"Who you are and whose you are"

I got this one for my mom for Christmas with these lyrics from her Dad's favorite hymn...

Lastly.... I wanted to give a quick reminder that if you don't already have the green serenity stone drop earrings.... now is the time to scoop up a pair!!!  I wear mine ALL THE TIME and I love tha tthey make an impact even from farther away.

The aqua color of the same earring is GORGEOUS as well!

So.... there you have it!  What have you been wearing on repeat this week?  Is it unseasonably warm where you are?  It's supposed to get COLD again here this week, and I'm excited to throw on some coats :)

Happy Wednesday, friends!!!
