What's Up Wedesday

Today I'm linking up with  Shay and  Sheaffer to talk a little bit about what's been going on around here! I started this post Tuesday afternoon and then was IN BED AND ASLEEP by 8:30 Tuesday night and never finished! So here we are ;)

Not me but Luke took on the "zipper ripper' challenge at some burger restaurant they always eat at after cross country state on Monday. I AM UNWELL!!! It's a 5-patty burger and one pound of fries and you have 12 minutes to eat the whole thing.

He did not complete the challenge but came close. He said the mayo on the bottom bun held him back ;) hahaha

Halloween costumes from through the years!

... as was this last minute "Rosie the Riveter" costume I pulled together for our church Harvest party.

Our family "Will Ferrell" theme is a forever favorite...

Probably three of the best we ever did!

Anthropologie brought back their bauble ornaments and they're SO GOOD! Y'all know that these are my favorites and our playroom tree is filled with them. Last year y'all were beating down my door for the details but they didn't bring them back last year but NOW THEY'RE BACK!

I MEAN JUST LOOK AT THEM!!!

Literally all the things. It was our big middle school spirit week last year and you KNOW we love a theme!

Decades Day - Pink Lady ;)

House color day...

Comfort Maxxing Day...

And Character Day!

I'm not really dreading it because Dave and I will pass out candy and do our thing BUT this will be the first Halloween since having kids that all of our kids will be out with friends and not at home. They're all happy for and excited about their plans but MAN it's kind of a gut punch. Bittersweet for sure!

My LAST Fall pep rally is on Friday and I'm SO EXCITED and ready ;) hahaha They've been a blast, but your girl is READY to not have pep rally to plan/execute for a few months!

Over the weekend I shared about a few fun finds that I've had recently and you can find all the details HERE! Cuteness overload for sure!

G and I are STILL watching the new season of Traitors along with DWTS and Survivor. It's A LOT but we're managing ;) hahaha

Can't stop listening to this...

Technically I'm not wearing it quite yet because it's still been SO HOT but you better believe I'll be wearing this sweater next week!

Halloween AND possibly putting up my vintage ornament tree when all my kids are out doing their thing on Saturday night ;)

THANKSGIVING!!! We're turkey-trotting again and I cant' wait!

G and I have been walking every night and MY WORD what a blessing it has been!!!

Happy Wednesday, friends!!!

  1. Hotdog Mason and Peacock Griffin will always be two of my very faves.

  2. You're right about kids getting older and it being so hard when the house is empty. My son is middle school and while he still does a lot at home, he definitely likes to go off with friends too. My oldest stepson is at college and the house feels too empty. A bittersweet feeling for sure!!
