Beaded sun catcher craft

It's been a hot minute since we've crafted and this little project was PERFECT because it didn't have to be completed in one sitting and was pretty mindless so G worked on it while watching Gilmore Girls ;)

All you need is a bunch of beads, some fishing line (or clear bead string) and a stick.

(Note that I started a giant rainbow one and aborted my mission because it was just way too big - hahaha).

String the beads in no particular pattern (unless that's your thing!) and just string away until you have a strand the length you want. G made her strands all different lengths and used mainly clear faceted beads. Once she had as many strands as she wanted we tied the strands to a stick she picked up on a walk with Frank and then strung it up on her window using a suction cup.

SO CUTE!!! I did restart my rainbow one and have plans to hang it up in my classroom window so I'll keep you posted on this ;)

This would be the perfect craft/activity to do if you have multiple kids (everyone can make a strand or two) and would be great for younger kids as well since there's really no rhyme or reason to how you have to string the beads.

I have a pretty big bead collection that we were pulling from but I'll link a bunch of my favorites (including the faceted ones!) in the widget below in case you want to add to your collection and make your own!

Happy Wednesday and happy beading, friends!
