Happy Friday, friends! Erika and I are so excited that lots of y'all are linking up with us every week. Make sure that you're grabbing our graphic, linking back to us and sharing your own Friday Favorites post ;)
It wasn't my intention to "go dark" yesterday but life was LIFING and with yesterday being the last day of school I had some stuff to get under control ;). All that to say - today is OFFICIALLY my last day (yesterday was our last day with kids - today I just have meetings) and then I will be in full-on sloth mode. PRAISE THE LORD!!!
First up on my list of faves for the week is this pic that shows up this week in my facebook memories every year and I just can't get enough of it.
This pic of the biggest and littlest cousin...
.... and this cutie looking so pretty in green last Friday for MCA graduation.
With one of her FAVES.
Mason had a zoom review for his STEM final and it was giving 2020 vibes. Everyone showing their dogs on zoom calls was by far my FAVORITE part of that time period. hahaha
Her FAVORITE drink is back at Starbucks...
and my FAVORITE 6th grader grew a TON This year as evidenced by this locker pic I snapped this week. I CAN'T EVEN!
Birthday sopapillas were a FAVORITE...
... as was yearbook signing...
... and this cute picture of Mason and his classmates who he's been with since kindergarten. Isn't that the sweetest?!?!?!
We wrapped up yesterday with academic awards and highlights included Mason being inducted into this year's Astronaut Class (the top-5 in an ongoing STEM project)...
... winning multiple academic and diligence awards, graduating the 8th grade...
... and being named the 8th grade Living Bible Award Winner. It's a character-based award that is selected by teachers and then given out to one boy and one girl and I'm not sure I've really processed the whole thing yet but we are SO PROUD of who Mason is!
The Living Bible award is given to one boy and one girl who faithfully and consistently live their faith out loud daily, showing that they are not ashamed of Christ modeling Romans 1:16 which proclaims: “For I am not ashamed of the Gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to
everyone who believes…”. The light of Christ consistently shines in their lives through their actions, attitudes and character.
everyone who believes…”. The light of Christ consistently shines in their lives through their actions, attitudes and character.
Griffin wrapped up a WONDERFUL 6th grade year and received two diligence awards and earned herself a spot on the Headmaster's Honor Roll. We couldn't be more proud!
I have no pics of her with her awards because she jetted off right after for a pool party ;)
WHEW! What a week! I'm sure I'll have more end-of-the-school-year thoughts but for now I'm just ready to REST for a few days and am hoping that this weekend will bring just that.
HAPPY Friday, friends!!!
Happy Last Day and almost Summer!! I know the kiddos had a great year! Today is our student's last day and next Thursday is teachers last day!! Can't wait!!
ReplyDeleteHooray for the summer break!
ReplyDeleteWhat cute photos and the Zoom call sounds like a lot of fun. Well done to the kids with the awards, you must be so proud.
Well goodness, there is just too much end of year fun in this one post! HAPPY SUMMER BREAK, friend!!! xx
ReplyDeleteYay for the wrapping up of another wonderful school year!
ReplyDeleteLots to celebrate and I'm sure you're rightfully proud of your son's award especially. I love the birthday sopapilla. I haven't had one in ages but they make me think of visiting my grandparents in New Mexico and we always watched them being made in our favorite restaurant there. I grew up on the East Coast and live in the south now, and you just don't see them on menus here. Have a nice weekend and thanks for hosting!
ReplyDeleteHaha I do miss zoom learning when students would show me all of their pets!
