North Pole Breakfast 2023

Our elves showed up last weekend and brought a North Pole Breakfast with them ;) This has been happening at our house since before Griffin was born and is one of my most favorite mornings of the whole year.

I've been mixing up decor over the years and look forward to the kids reactions but also the creativity and FUN this allows me as well.  It's just the best.  Last Christmas I found a roll of really fun "space Santa" wrapping paper and this idea was born.

Trixie even showed up in a space suit ;)

I used the same garland that I use every year and added in some star lights, space santa ornaments and then some picks I had along with a few additional blue and silver picks I grabbed at Hobby Lobby.

The santa glasses are from Anthropologie...

... and yes, each of the kids still gets an ornament ;)

I couldn't find yellow ornaments so I grabbed the iridescent glass ones from Hobby Lobby and poured yellow paint inside to create these.

The Fa La LA and Ho Ho Ho gift tags were a world market clearance find last winter and the colors worked perfectly so I just stuck them in the garland as well.

The santa napkins were from my little stash (when I find cute napkins at Homegoods or Marshalls I stick them in my NPB box in the attic and then can just pull what I need)...

The menu has been the same for the past several years... mini donuts, breakfast casserole, fruit and yogurt.

If you remember, our elves made a surprise appearance back in July and arrived in these special delivery envelopes ;)

Hot cocoa was out as well...

I MEAN!!!

We ate, opened ornaments and just had the best time.

Mason got a debit card this year...

... GG was Elvis for Halloween...

... and Luke got a passport so they all got ornaments to remind them of those events.

Such a fun morning and probably our last one with a believer in the house so kind of bittersweet as well.  I can't encourage you enough to start this with your kids if you haven't already - such fun memories!

HAPPY Tuesday, friends!!!

  3. The time, attention, and detail you put into this is so IMPRESSIVE! I hope one day I am a grandparent and can start this tradition with those little ones :)
