Today I'm linking up with Shay and Sheaffer to talk a little bit about what's been going on around here!

Apparently we're eating allll the pasta. It wasn't a conscious decision but it happened and nobody at my house is mad about it.
I made a really awesome new recipe this past weekend that everyone loved, then a couple trays of chicken spaghetti (one for us, one for my brother's family) and then mason mac and cheese a couple of days after that.
We're also eating a third batch of my mini pumpkin cream pies because the first two got devoured when we brought them to school for the kids teachers and my kids were devastated that there weren't any leftovers :)
I'm heading out of town with girlfriends next week which has me alllll kinds of reminiscing about how much fun we had in NYC last Fall.
I'm LOVING these silk scrunchies I grabbed on Amazon..
They come in a 3-pack and I love them so much more than teleties... which I love A LOT. They're strong and stretchy and don't leave any marks in my hair when I sleep in them. And I love that they're not the super fluffy kind of scrunchies. They would be an awesome stocking stuffer!
All the regular things and then last week I took Thursday off to get a few things done and attend a Sky Moms luncheon..
I hosted a table and had the best time hearing the speaker, meeting some new faces and talking with friends. And the SWEETEST Sky Ranch employee introduced herself and told me that she and her roommates read my blog which totally made my day!!!
Nicole, I hope you and your roommates get some chicken pot pie soon and THANK YOU so much for reading and introducing yourself!
Thankfully I already knocked them out and I have a FABULOUS sub filling in for me next week, but to giv eyou a teeny idea of just how rough making sub plans can be I give you this...
Gift guides!!! I've heard y'all and I'm working on them to get them up starting next week. I always have so much fun working on these and I'm extra excited about this year's guides.
Last week we had an opportunity to partner with McDonalds to bring one of our local fire stations breakfast for First Responders Day. Each of the kids made a thank you poster and were so excited to go. The firemen couldn't have been kinder and they offered up a tour of the trucks and we even had a firepole demo :)
What I'm extra excited to share about is the SERVPRO First Responder Bowl Ticket Giveaway. The SERVPRO Bowl is the premiere college football game that honors the brave men and women who put their lives on the line every day to help others.
The game is going to be on Monday, December 30, 2019 at SMU's Gerald J. Ford Stadium and SERVO Pro is on a mission to giveaway 10,000 complimentary tickets to First Responders. While supplies last, First Responders will be able to reserve up to four complimentary tickets. ($2.50 Shipping & Handling Fee applied to each ticket) and you can register for complimentary tickets HERE. How cool is that?!?!
And for extra fun I'm giving away a pair of tickets to the game! You don't have to be a first responder to win BUT you do need to be either local or willing to travel to Dallas for the game. All you need to do to enter is leave me a comment letting me know who you'd take or who you'd give the tickets to. That's it!
I'll announce the winner on Friday morning's blog post so be sure to check back in!
I watched all of Unbelievable on Netflix in about 2 days last week because I just couldn't stop watching. It was difficult to watch at parts but was so well done and eye-opening. HIGHLY recommend watching it if you haven't already.

I completely binge listened Crime Junkie over the summer and then stopped and have been diligently listening to the new episodes this week. If you love true crime you'll love Crime Junkie!

I'm also listening to Bad Batch and REALLY enjoying it as well.

I'm also listening to Office Ladies which is AMAZING if you're a die hard Office fan.

I grabbed this sweater a few weeks ago and it's TRUE LOVE! They only had a large in stock (I typically wear a small in Madewell) but am LOVING the bit of extra length I got by sizing up and because the sleeve is a drop-shoulder to begin with you can EASILY size up and just get a more oversized fit without it looking sloppy.
Here I am wearing it with my UGG slippers and jeggings at home...
... and then with pointed toe flats out. I much prefer the slipper look :)
Packing up Halloween decorations and getting out Thanksgiving! I'm REALLY excited about it and can't wait to show y'all! Spoiler alert... it involved this banner!

I LOVE November! I feel like it's festive without being rushed, the weather is typically really nice, we get a week at home and I loooooove Thanksgiving! It doesn't hurt that I get my Christmas decorations out during November either :) When I was downtown last week I grabbed these ornaments at Birds and Words because I've never seen any like them before and I loved them so so so much! Not sure if they're going to go on our main tree or our bedroom tree but I'm excited either way.
This is completely random but I grabbed these fruit strips at Target and can't stop eating them! We all love a fruit leather at our house and these were a great price for a big box and they're really really good.
Happy Wednesday, friends!!!
