Mason's Room Update

Back in December Mason decided he was officially done with his loft bed and a mini room redo happened pretty quickly after that because mama was NOT a fan of the loft bed ;) hahaha

This is his room from the door now....

... this was his room from the door when we moved in 10 years ago...

... and this was his room from the door with the loft bed. It wasn't awful and he really loved the bed since 2020 BUT I never loved the height so I was more than happy when he was ready to let it go.

Mason had a VERY specific vision with what he wanted and his room is difficult because of the layout, ceilings and zero full walls. hahaha But he picked out THIS BED and he's obsessed!

This was his bed wall when we first moved in (I LOVED those art wires!!!)...

... the same wall with his loft bed...

... and now!

He is SO HAPPY with it and I love it so much. It's very "him" and I think (fingers crossed!) this will last him the rest of high school ;)

So coming in to his room he has this wall on the right...

... and has had this shelf since we moved in.  It's held Legos, Jellycats, a rock collection, and now Funko pops. And y'all.... the plants are all him. NOT KIDDING!! He picked them out at IKEA ;) hahaha

In a very "Mason" moment he has a growing collection of pigeon art next to his closet ;) hahaha

... and he LOVES a memo/bulletin board just like his mama ;)

His desk, dresser and chair are all IKEA.

Football wall mount / jersey display frame

His bed has LED lights which were an added bonus and he LOVES the storage in the headboard and footboard.

He REALLY wanted large-scale car art and so he bought three of these frames from IKEA

and then bought digital downloads of the art and had them printed large scale on Snapfish for about $10 each on sale.

So there you have it! Dave and I very much let our kids be in charge of their own rooms (to a point - hahahaha) and I LOVE how "Mason" his space is.

HAPPY Tuesday, friends!

  1. I love it, and I love all his design picks! It's crazy how fast the progression happens. I need to do this with my daughter's room too, but I keep putting it off.
