Happy Friday, friends! Erika and I are so excited that lots of y'all are linking up with us every week. Make sure that you're grabbing our graphic, linking back to us and sharing your own Friday Favorites post ;)
Happy Friday, friends! First up on my list of FAVORITES is this guy who has been keeping me entertained this week ;) Life would be boring without Frank, y'all!
All three kids have been at camp and my plan was to have a post full of fun things I did this week and instead I got SUPER sick on Tuesday and have pretty much been in recovery mode since. It wasn't AT ALL what I had hoped or planned but it is what it is and I'm just glad to be on the mend.
Last week the kids' cross country team ran their "80s challenge" where their coach bikes in the morning and reports his mileage and as a team they try to beat his number of miles. This year they were also running to raise money for flood relief and raised $4500!
Luke ran 16 miles and planned his route to include friends houses so they could leave water out for him.
On the way to camp last weekend I found my FAVORITE candy bar at the gas station - anyone else love these???
So despite my plans going somewhat awry - Dave and I have had nightly couch dates with some of our favorite foods and shows and it's been GLORIOUS!
I also grabbed my FAVORITE salad for lunch yesterday (the harvest salad from Salata)...
... and finished this puzzle which is a new FAVORITE.
I pick up 2/3 kids tomorrow and then tomorrow night we gain FOUR extra boys at our house for a week. We're hosting a group of Pine Cove counselors while they work at City Camp at our church and Mason can't wait! Wish us luck ;) hahaha
HAPPY FRIDAY, friends!
Oh no!! I'm sorry you got sick! Glad to hear you're on the mend. All the meals in bed look great to me! :)
ReplyDeleteFrank is such a cutie!
ReplyDeleteOh no! I hope you are feeling better now. It looks like the kids have had a great week though. Good job to Luke with the running!
I am so sorry you have been sick. I hope you get to enjoy a WONDERFUL WEEKEND! xx
ReplyDeleteSorry you got sick during your empty nest week - never fun. But at least you had no where to go and no one counting on you. Love that puzzle - for me that's a fall/winter thing. Have a good week with those counselors!!
ReplyDeleteMidnight Milky Way is my favorite too but it's hard to find. Walgreens Pharmacy usually has them where I live in Washington state.
ReplyDeleteSorry you've been sick; but it looks like you had a yummy week. Those pics of the kids at camp are great! I love the midnight milky way (it's the only milky way I'll eat!).
ReplyDeleteThose matching PJs are the cutest!
ReplyDeleteUgh, sorry you were sick but sounds like you made the most of the situation. Our at-home date nights always involve yummy food and watching Netflix together.
Next with both my kiddos head off to camp an I am SO EXCITED for a temporary empty nest!
What a bummer that you've been sick! I remember those years as a teacher/mama and go, go, going all day every day. When I'd have down time (like your past week) my body often would let me know by shutting down or getting sick. Your body (and mind) probably appreciated the quiet days and evenings of this past week and hopefully you found joy in the midst of it all... And just in time for all the action that's about to hit! Enjoy the reunions ahead and have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry you were sick, but the timing was probably better than this week with a houseful of boys. I've spent a lot of time on the couch this month with a stress fracture, but like you say it is what it is and you just deal. Take care and enjoy all the company! Thanks for hosting.
