Class Trips '24

Well - we crossed a couple of really big things off of our end of the year to-do-list last week... CLASS TRIPS!

I took 45 eighth graders to West Texas where we swam in a natural spring-fed pool (Balmorhea State Park)...

... sledded the sand dunes at Monahans State Park...

... hung out at Prude Ranch...

... rode in a chuckwagon out to a cowboy dinner...

... hung with horses...

... ATE WELL...

... played wiffle ball....

... rode horses...

... star gazed...

... visited McDonald Observatory AND learned about native reptiles.

I spent a good amount of time porch-sittin', supervising 9-square, volleyball and other general shenanigans ;)

I absolutely love getting to spend time out of the classroom with my students and getting to hang with some of my very favorite co-workers.

Makes the accommodations worth it ;) hahaha

While I was in Fort Davis, Mason was at Sky Ranch with seventh grade and Dave was asked to chaperone which you KNOW he's not going to turn down ;)

They had the best time doing ALL THE THINGS and Mason is now even more pumped for summer camp ;)

The weather was rainy but Sky Ranch did an awesome job of still keeping everyone busy and somehow keeping all the activities on their schedule.

Grateful for these kind of opportunities for my kids!  I'm exhausted BUT it was a blast ;)

Happy LAST full Monday of the school year, friends!!!

  2. I just think it's so fabulous that your school does trips like these...and extra fabulous that you get to do them with your kiddos.
