Friday Favorites

Erika and I are so excited that lots of y'all are linking up with us every week.  Make sure that you're grabbing our graphic, linking back to us and sharing your own Friday Favorites post ;)

I feel like I've lived an actual lifetime since my last Friday Favorites post.  SERIOUSLY!

This pretty much sums up my current mood ;) hahaha.

Highlights from the week included getting in this cute bracelet stack (use code andrea20 for 20% off!) just in time to show some school spirit this year...

Another favorite was getting to take the kids up to school on Monday since they missed the back-to-school bash last week.  They met a few of their teachers, got their lockers situated and switched from camp to school mode ;). Griffin is SO EXCITED to have Mrs. Johnson this year for her homeroom ;)

THE EXCITEMENT!!!

5th graders have lockers this year and she couldn't be more excited! One - for the locker and two because her brothers didn't get a locker in fifth ;)

My classroom used to be in one of these portable buildings and it was fun to get to see how incredible the fifth grade teachers have made them look.  They're SO CUTE!

A FAVORITE from the week was this "all about me" project that G worked on...

It was so cute and when assembled made a ball which was super unique.

Another FAVORITE from the week has been  this blender which the kids have been putting to good use.  They're all on smoothie kicks and I love that the blender is simple enough that they can make their own smoothies!  Their general recipe is 1/2 of a large banana, a few (5-6) frozen strawberries, a yogurt cup, a splash or so of milk and baby spinach (Luke does this more than the others).  Blend until smooth and drink!

This tweet was a FAVORITE and made me laugh so hard.

Luke has one of my former students as his geography teacher this year and this was a FAVORITE from the first day...

... nothing will make you feel older than having your kids being taught by your students ;) hahaha. Luke and Mason both had one of my former students as a history teacher and golf coach and Luke has two more of my former students this year for Geometry and Biology.

On the first day of school the fifth graders got to help the kindergartners out to carpool and it was G's FAVORITE!

GOSH! These two cutie patooties are my FAVORITE!

That SQUEEZE when they saw each other on the deck on the morning of the first day was my FAVORITE!

The first day of school in general is just a FAVE around here.  Can't believe it's my last year to have an elementary schooler!

Another FAVE about being in the fifth grade is getting to help out with safety patrol in the mornings...

... and getting to cheer in the younger kiddos to chapel.  Its it obvious to see why her and her bestie are besties?!?!?! ;) hahaha

HAPPY Friday, friends!!! I'm off to finish the week off strong and then CRASH this weekend.  Oh wait... naps may have to wait because Luke gets back from the high school retreat, Mason has a basketball lesson with his FAVORITE coach who leaves for college next week, the boys have an 8 am cross country event and we're going to (hopefully) squeeze in a birthday celebration for our FAVORITE 40-year old ;).

I can rest next summer ;) hahaha.

HAPPY Friday, friends!!!
