What's Up Wednesday (better late than never)

Today I'm linking up with  Shay and  Sheaffer to talk a little bit about what's been going on around here! I missed out on this last week when I pressed pause on the blog to get caught up on some school things but wanted to share anyway ;)

Luke and I are currently in Big Bend National Park camping so we're eating some awesome camp food (pic from last year)...

... and my best guess is that Dave, Mason and G are eating air fryer foods ;) hahahaha

Griffin is on the 4th Grade Speech Team for an ACSI competition this year which has had me reminiscing about when Mason competed in 3rd grade...

HOW has he grown so much in three years?!?! HOW?!?!??!!

I LOVE a flowy dress year round but especially for summer and the color on this dress is SO SO SO GOOD!  I love the little cap sleeve and the cut work on it is stunning!

And how pretty is the bow on the back of this dress...

Mason's basketball season wrapped up last Friday night with the boys playing in the final four.  Dave and I couldn't make it since we were at the MandaStrong gala but my dad sent updates and we couldn't have been more proud!  They only had 5 players (and only 4 for the first quarter!) and they played their little hearts out!

Our Spring Break is next week and this is happening...

... for every member of our family and I'm both excited about it and dreading it.  HOW DO THEY GET SO MESSY SO FAST?!?!?!

Summer Plans!  I literally can't wait!!!

A friend told me about this amber oil when I complimented her on smelling SO GOOD and y'all... it's $21 and smells INCREDIBLE!!!

I'm laughing so hard because here we are another month and I'm STILL currently reading  Book Lovers by Emily Henry and am still really liking it.

I'm currently watching reruns of The Office because nothing out there is as funny or as good.  I said what I said ;)

I'm currently listening to The All That To Say podcast and am LOVING IT! I mentioned  Miranda in my IG Faves post last month and didn't realize that she and her best friend were starting a podcast and I seriously love it so much.  It really feels like you're just in the room chit chatting with friends about everything and nothing and the way they tell stories (and talk about food) is my absolute love language.  Give them a try and let me know what you think!

I've been wearing this vest on repeat and love it so much.  I love the color, the fit and how warm it is. (yes... this is the same as last month but I still love it and still think everything should have it in their closet - hahahaha)

Going full on sloth mode!!!  I'll be back from Big Bend and will be officially on Spring Break and have zero intentions of doing ANYTHING for at least a full 48 hours.

See above ;) hahaha

For real though I'm looking forward to having NOTHING on the calendar and just enjoying time with my kids without one thousand activities and work things and all of that.  I'm looking forward to getting myself prepped and ready for fourth quarter (WHAT IN THE WORLD!!!) and for (hopefully) getting these kids of mine to nail down some birthday plans!

This is the most random thing ever but we have converted to the "shredding your own cheese" camp vs the bagged stuff (it's seriously so much better) but our grater thing was kind of a pain.  I grabbed this grater on Amazon and I swear to you that angels sing when you use it ;)

It does a great job and makes the task take 10% of the time it used to.  If you love shredded cheese as much as we do check it out!

On that super random note - HAPPY Wednesday, friends!

  1. Is the shredder easy to clean? I feel like that is why I shy away in the past to doing the job myself.

  2. Great list! Have fun on your trip! Two random comments -
    1. Have you tried the podcast Smartless yet? It's def rated R for f-bombs, but it's HILARIOUS. They're episodes with Krasinski and Steve Carrell (sp?) were SO funny.
    2. Have you tried using the grater attachment on your food processor? A lightly larger appliance to get out, but so fast when you grade more than just a tad of cheese. Also, good work ditching the pre-shredded cheese. It's got weird anti-caking things in it :)

  3. Thanks for sharing the grater! Now I need one :)

  4. Have you tried Abbott Elementary (Season 1 on Disney Plus and Season 2 on GASP Live TV.) It is "office style" but an elementary school. I am a teacher and I find it HYSTERICAL. Short 22 minutes - and equal parts funny and touching. You should give it a try!
