NYE ;)

Happy New Years, friends!!! I hope y'all had a great NYE!  Today I'm sharing a bit about our New Years Eve and some of the decor I put up after Christmas and will leave up until mid-month since I'm not quite ready to bid adieu to twinkle lights quite yet ;)

I left up the same mixed greenery and twinkle lights I had up for Christmas and added in some gold ornaments I found locally and my collection of disco balls ;)

You can find the banner HERE and my plan is to fold it up, store it in a ziplock and use it for the next few years.

I decided to keep up the tree that I had in the family room since it all kind of matched...

... but the very best part is the light sparkles that are cast all over the room every afternoon ;)

I knew I wanted to do some sort of centerpiece something on the kitchen table and found this cast iron bowl at a local antique mall and filled it with the same gold ornaments and disco balls as the mantel.

On the morning of NYE I headed to Market Street to grab some queso and came home with that, some black and white cookies and some inspiration for a fun little spread for that afternoon as we watched the Fiesta Bowl.

I've had the party hats and little drink stirrers for years and all the dishware is our everyday stuff.  The disco ball planter was from my classroom and I'd brought it home for the break and it was perfect!

My dad came over in the afternoon and we made sure our TCU inflatables were up and ready for the game...

.... and the kids convinced me to try out the confetti poppers I'd bought for midnight outside ;) hahahaha

Fiesta Bowl time!

Just a couple of girls, hanging on the couch eating taquitos while the boys were going nuts during the game ;)

Masons best buddies were at the game and they were texting and face timing each other the whole time.  CUTEST EVER!

Celebratory pic ;)

We spent the rest of the night playing a bunch of games...

... playing with giant sparklers...

... and we all managed to stay up until midnight to toast the new year with sparkling apple cider ;)

It was such a fun night and perfect way to kick off 2023!  HAPPY NEW YEARS, y'all!
