Friday Favorites

Erika and I are so excited that lots of y'all are linking up with us every week.  Make sure that you're grabbing our graphic, linking back to us and sharing your own Friday Favorites post ;)

I feel like we have a lot to catch up on, friends!  Gift guides have been fun this week but I am ready to resume my regularly scheduled programming around here ;)

Last Friday was Grandparents and great friends day at school and I was all kinds of sentimental because G was our only elementary-aged kid this year.  The kids sang...

... showed grandparents their classrooms...

... and then hit up the Senior econ fair going on.

It's seriously the most fun day ever - cold, but fun.  Some of G's FAVORITES are seniors this year which is super bittersweet!

Seniors create these booths with a partner where they run a business for the day.  Some sell food, some crafts, some run games, and some sell t-shirts with the cross country coach's face on them ;) hahahaha

I had a little Thanksgiving lunch with my co-workers and then headed home to CRASH for a little bit...

... before dropping my boys off for D-Now weekend with youth group.  They each stayed at a different host home and I still can't believe Mason's old enough to be in youth!

I only caught glimpses of them in pics for the rest of the weekend until they got home Sunday afternoon exhausted and happy ;)  Not much more a mama can ask for!

While the boys were at D-Now Dave and I took Griffin down the the Dallas Arboretum to check out the Christmas festivities happening and it was MAGIC!

They have the 12 days of Christmas on display which are so pretty.  I've seen them during the day but not at night before and they were STUNNING!

There's also a musical tree down by the lake which was so pretty!

They also had a Christmas village set up which was possibly the sweetest thing I've ever seen in my whole life.

You went shop to shop looking for hidden animals and getting little rewards.  SO CUTE!

I MEAN.  CAN YOU EVEN?!?!?!

The most precious Santa and Mrs. Claus were there as well...

The funniest part of the night was that Griffin FOUND A CAT!  Like - who finds a cat at the arboretum.  It followed her for quite a while and there may have been a few tears shed on her part when it was time to leave him.

If you're local or are coming to the area in the next month or so I HIGHLY recommend getting tickets and checking it out.  We got there at 7:00 and stayed until about 8:45.  It was COLD but not windy so it wasn't bad at all.

I've tackled lots of items on my Christmas to-do-list this week like gift wrapping and getting our cards out.  I LOVE being able to enjoy the next month without these tasks hanging over my head!

We randomly decided to do hibachi one night - I forgot how much I LOVE IT.  New FAVORITE spot!

Griffin went to a birthday party sleepover for one of her best friends - it was at her ranch and they had the most fun ever playing flashlight tag, having a camp fire and staying up past 2 a.m.  BLESS THEIR HEARTS!

HAPPY Friday, friends!!!
