Super Simple Crockpot Chicken

I tried out this recipe a couple of weeks ago and I was SUPER skeptical.  I didn't think there was any way it could be as easy as the recipe said - spoiler alert... it WAS! And my entire family ate it - WINNING!

Here's What You'll Need...
- about 2 lbs of chicken breasts
- 2 packets of chicken gravy mix
- 1 can cream of chicken soup

What You'll Do...
Put it all in a crockpot, turn on low for 8 hours.  Shred the chicken, stir together with the gravy and serve over mashed potatoes, rice or on a roll.

I'm aware that it doesn't look super delish but trust - it was GOOD!  It's obviously not going to win any culinary awards, but when you need something super simple that everyone will eat on a busy weeknight give this one a try.  My kids ate it on rolls that I baked and the entire 2 lbs of chicken was gone in one meal.

I almost hesitated to blog this because it was SO simple, but decided we all need a recipe (or 7!) like this in our back pocket so here we are :) If you end up making it I'd love to hear what you think!

HAPPY Wednesday, friends!!!

  1. Definitely trying this! Whenever possible, I season the chicken when I get home from the market before freezing or sticking in the fridge - makes for super flavorful crock pot meals!

  3. I saw something similar on a friends facebook page but it called for Hidden Valley mix rather than the gravy mix. Sounded yummy.

  4. Does anyone know if brown gravy mix will work instead of chicken gravy mix? Trying to work with what I have in my pantry without going to the store!
