Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends!!!   Erika and I are so excited that lots of y'all are linking up with us!!!!  If you're linking up with us make sure you grab our graphic, link back to one (or both!) of us and share your own Friday Favorites post.

Today's list is going to be short and sweet because it's homecoming week at school which means I have been crazy busy.  I'm actually writing this on Wednesday night because the middle school dance is Thursday night and I won't be home until late late.  THANKFULLY today (Friday) is our State Fair day which means I have the day to try and get our lives put back together - hahaha

This week we had dress up days all week long and my FAVORITE 7th grader humored me with a picture after school :)  How CUTE is he?!?!?

I showed a picture of  Mason and G's monogram ornaments last week but Luke's came in this week and it's for sure my FAVORITE.  The plaid letter is EVERYTHING (when you order you can't pick the pattern).  You can shop them  HERE.

I also ordered some of these dessert plates to add to my Thanksgiving table.  I got 3 out of the 4 styles (the turkeys, foxes and gourds) and can't wait to get them!  We have Thanksgiving melamine plates from Pottery Barn Kids that we have had since the kids were teeny but I'm excited to add some nicer plates to our collection.

Y'all know that my FAVORITE candy are caramel apple pops - well, when I saw these werthers I knew I had to try them.  They're SO GOOD!  Not as good as a caramel apple pop but still SO GOOD!

We made a goal this year to have all three of our kids be a little more competent in the kitchen (read: they should be able to make grilled cheese, scrambled eggs, brown meat, etc. with minimal supervision) and Griffin has been working on eggs ;)  The independence is everyone's FAVORITE and has me questioning why we didn't do this YEARS ago!

The sunsets this week have been my FAVORITE!  Luke snapped this one evening this week and while it doesn't really do the colors justice it's pretty nonetheless.

Mondays Griffin has a ballet class right in the middle of dinner time - Dave doesn't get home until later and so I do a bigger after school "snack" (aka first dinner) to hold everyone over until we eat way later than normal.  The sweet little homework and snack time is one of my FAVORITE times of the whole week.

Speaking of food, I made one of  my very FAVORITE dinners this week - meatloaf balls!  This picture is horrendous but it's seriously SOOOOO GOOD and if you haven't made it before you need to  add it to your meal calendar ASAP!

And last, but not least - earlier this week I was doing a Q&A over on my instagram and someone was asking questions about our girls group annual scarf exchange.  It had me reminiscing about the year that I stuck a onesie with a pregnancy announcement in with my scarf and just how much fun that whole night was.  And then the next year bringing that surprise with me to the party! ;)

HAPPY Friday, friends!!!

  3. Love those ornaments. When I try to order it only gives a white option. Could you tell how you can pick your pattern? The options are not coming up to change the color!
    Thank you!!

    1. I think they all just say "white" but you can look at the picture of all the ornaments and see what pattern your letter comes in.

  6. My mother in law loves those apple Werther's too! I'm a fan of any Werther's; apple or not. I LOVED when my boys learned how to cook the basics and were more independent in the kitchen and really LOVE that my middle son pretty much wants to take over now.
