Family Fiesta

We started hosting a "Family Fiesta" celebrating all three kids birthdays with our families back in 2015 when we quickly realized that April was BUSY and  it felt like A LOT to ask family to attend 3 parties.  The family fiesta idea was born and has turned into one of our very favorite family traditions.

I kept the decor really simple this year - I received this candle block from the girls at  Bright Blocks and it pretty much stole the show :) Aside from that I reused the  glitter cactus banner from last year and then added some cactus plates and napkins that were a Homegoods find.

Look how fun!!!

The weather was PERFECTION and we were able to host indoors and out.  I grabbed  these flags and we hung them up using a staple gun.  So simple and I love them so much!

A few fun candles (Target and the cacti were Homegoods) added the perfect festive touch to the kids cakes...

Believe it or not I made this little chalkboard sign for our first family fiesta and it's still going strong.

Sidenote: A few years ago we started using Fuzzy's Taco Shop to cater and they do SUCH AN AMAZING JOB!!! If you have a Fuzzy's local to you I highly recommend.  We did the ground beef and brisket tacos this time and it was delicious as always.

The  mini pinatas were a Target find and they're SO SWEET! I packed them up in my fiesta box for next year !

We brought hot wheels, magformers and Tegu blocks outside before the party and hung out here a good portion of the party...

... and of course on the trampoline :)

We attempted a cousin pic...

.. and then came in for presents and cake.

Such a sweet night and SO GRATEFUL!!!

HAPPY Tuesday, friends!!!

  4. What a fabulous idea. I am totally awestruck by your chalkboard drawing. That’s talent. How do you not make it a big smudgy mess? What secret chalk drawing knowledge am I missing? 😁
So lovely seeing all the kids’ beaming faces.
A fave piñata quote from Pinterest:
“Life would be a million times better if there were piñatas strategically placed throughout the day.”

  7. Always a fun party! Have you heard of pinatagrams? You can mail people a pinata, I did it for my friend's birthday a few years ago and the Target mini pinatas make me think of them. Maybe next year the kids will get a fun pinata in the mail?
