Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends!!!  We're in DESPERATE need of some Thanksgiving Break over here but we've pretty much made it to the weekend and so I'm going to count that as a win :)  For real though - it's been so busy and I feel like everyone is kind of on the verge of getting a cold and I'm so thankful for a couple of down days!

ErikaNarci and I are all sharing our FAVES today and we'd love it if you'd join us and share your own FAVORITES this week as well!  All you need to do is grab our graphic, link back to one (or all!) of us and share your own Friday Favorites post.

First up on my FAVORITES list is  Walmart's current toy selection.  They have SO MANY great new items at awesome prices and a lot of them will ship straight to you in two days for FREE!  I am SO EXCITED about these advent calendars that arrived... our elf on the shelf is going to wrap these up and bring them to the North Pole Breakfast and I can't wait!

Luke is a Harry Potter and Lego fanatic so  this one is PERFECT...

... and Mason is going to flip over this  Star Wars Lego one.

Griffin has been all about Playmobil horses and I know that  this one is going to be a hit throughout December.

There are a TON of great options that you can check out below...

We also found a FAVORITE new game at Walmart this week...

... it's  Ticket To Ride London and it's essentially a "mini" version of the full game and it's perfect for evenings when you don't have time to play the original version.  It's also great if you're new to Ticket To Ride or if you have kids (like mine!) who want to show their friends how to play.  It's also about half the price of the original game.

The weather this week has been a little bit crazy (lows in the twenties which is BIZARRE for TX in NOV), but my FAVORITE weather app delivered on the funnies in spite of the temps.

The boys FAVORITE after school activity has been playing with  these Plus Plus blocks...

... we have a set of the large ones which are great as well but they love the smaller scale of these sets.

If you have a kid who loves to build, these would make an awesome Christmas gift idea!

I found a new FAVORITE review activity for my 7th graders.  It's all about converting between fractions, decimals and percents and you can find it  HERE.

Tuesday was observation day in G's dance classes and getting to watch her do her thing was one of my FAVORITE parts of the week.

And another FAVORITE moment was when one of my students brought me this big bag of mints!  We've talked about our dutch heritage before and he thought I needed these.  I'm telling you - middle schoolers get a bad rap because they're some of the sweetest people I know!

This weekend I'm hoping to get the Christmas decor up, Mason has a playoff football game, we're attending a "queso run" fundraiser and I'm hoping to sneak in a nap :)

Happy Friday, friends!!!

    1. It’s WTForecast - and just a note... you can change the amount of profanity in the settings 😂

    1. It’s a really fun activity - but make sure you look at the sample problems before you purchase.... it has percents smaller than one and greater than 100 which may not be a concept you’ve introduced yet. Have a great weekend!

  6. If I had to guess, I'd say that middle schoolers do get a bad rap, but I bet it's also because they have you for a teacher, who appears to be extraordinary :)
