Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends!  I've got a big list of FAVORITES for you this week so let's get started...
Erika Narci and I are all sharing our FAVORITES from the week and if you'd like to join us all you have to do is grab our graphic, link back to one (or all) of us and share your own Friday Favorites post.

Y'all know that sweater weather is my FAVORITE weather and I grabbed a few sweaters from  Walmart to try out since the shipping is free and the return process is simple.  I don't have a ton of time to shop in store, so online is my go-to and I love how easy Walmart is making it.

First up is  this large scale leopard sweater which I LOVED!!!  The print was so fun and the colors were GREAT!

I'm in a medium which gave me the oversized look I was looking for and think this would be so cute with black pants this winter.

This fair isle sweater  is a little out of my norm - but isn't it CUTE?!?!

I really loved the colors, but ended up returning it since it was just a little too "ski" for me... but if a fun fair isle is your thing then this sweater is for you!

This super soft bright pink sweater was a keeper for me because 1) the color is SO GOOD and 2) the sweater's a great fit and 3) it is ridiculously soft

I got my regular size and really loved the fit.

I mean - LOOK AT THAT PINK!  It borders on fuchsia and while I'm not typically a big pink person I absolutely loved this color.

This is the same sweater in a camel color  and I decided to try a size up to see if I could wear it with leggings and didn't love the fit but may have to go back for the smaller size in this color because I think it's such a great neutral.

And last, but not least was  this really soft, really stretchy black split-hem sweater.  I loved this one as well!  It's a great basic for an awesome priceand I found it to run true to size.

You can shop all the sweaters I featured as well as a few others below...

Griffin brought home a family portrait this week which was my FAVORITE...

... and she's been working so hard on reading and reading to everyone who comes over is her FAVORITE ;)

We're still getting a ton of monarchs in our yard which we're loving and watching them is one of our FAVORITE things to do in the afternoons.

This little snuggle and reading sesh was a FAVORITE...

Luke's class visited the Institute for Creation Research this week and now I'm dying to go.  Both the boys went last week with a friend and they were so impressed, engaged and excited.  Despite going last week AND this week Luke really wants to go back again which I think says a lot.  His exact words were, "mom... a lot of people make it seem like it has to be science OR the Bible when really it's science AND the Bible".   I can't wait to go myself and based on my kids accounts of going I'd say if you're local and have kids it's definitely worth a visit!

Tuesday night Erika hosted an "all black" spooky supper and y'all know a good theme is my FAVORITE.

I added a few spiders to a black fascinator and then added a black lip and some spider web tights and was party-ready :)

This cutie all bright-eyed (and me the exact opposite) before school.  Mornings are her FAVORITE which she definitely didn't get from me!

It was costume day at dance on Tuesday and Griffin and her sweet friend decided they were going to team up and go as a cop and a robber :)

The sweetness was out of this world cute!

They're two little peas in a pod and their friendship is my FAVORITE!

I had to jet out of dance class and head straight to Erika's dinner so Dave picked Griffin up and they met Luke and Mason on the golf course (Luke was having a lesson) and while I was at dinner Dave sent me this picture :)

I mean... does Dave know my love language or WHAT?!?!

Last, but certainly not least the most exciting news ever.... Mark (my brother) and Diana had their TWINS on Monday!  I was able to meet Jack and Bennett just a few hours after they were born and I'm not sure I've ever seen anything sweeter.  Beau was OVER THE MOON and I'm smiling so big in the picture below because he insisted on being in all the pics with his new brothers :)  SWEETEST EVER!  Davis just kept giggling and it was just pure joy and sweetness.

In my happy place.

 I. MEAN.

The kids and I headed down to the hospital on Wednesday and they could not have been more excited.  They were scrubbed, sanitized, flu vaccinated and READY to meet their cousins!

Bennett is hanging out in the NICU so we smothered Jack with alllll the snuggles...

... and even got to feed him a bottle.

Both boys were just over 6 lbs (Diana is a ROCKSTAR!) and I think that they each look like one of their big brothers.

YOU GUYS!!!  Boys just chillin' :)

And look how SWEET Bennett is!

He was sound asleep when I went to see him in the NICU but I saved some snuggles for him :)

His little profile reminds me so much of Mason and Griffin as newborns!

Well, there you have it!  It's been a fun and busy week around here and this weekend we're looking forward to laying low and enjoying some much-needed cooler weather.  Happy Friday, friends!!!

  3. Your baby nephews are PRECIOUS! Praying baby Bennett gets just what he needs and can head home soon-I had a NICU baby so I know that's hard.

  5. I just loved your round up. I like the sweater you returned, but I get it that it was too "ski like". Love your black spider-y custom, and your *darling* tutu-wearing cop and robber. So fun!

  8. My daughter was about Luke’s age when we watched Louie Giglio’s “laminin” (back “in the day” when we had to buy DVDs - ha!) and she was amazed, and encouraged, that someone could be a Christian AND a scientist. Now she’s in college, living for the Lord, studying science:)
