This weekend was one of the best - great weather, four days off, lots of family and friends - so much fun!
Friday the kids and I tacked some things around the house as well as some errands. We had so much fun together and it was just a really sweet day.
Friday night Griffin was invited to a "spa party" at one of her friends houses. A group of junior/senior girls donated the party to the school auction and then the family who won it got to pick the date and invite the girls. They made bath bombs, watched Little Mermaid, had a dance party, ate pizza and did face masks. It was PRECIOUS!!!
And super special since I taught those girls in middle school and a few of them are getting ready to head off to college!
Saturday morning we were up at at 'em for the Eggstravaganza at the country club.
We checked out the petting zoo...
... and then it was time for the egg hunts.
Mason was SO FAST...
... and Luke was off so quick I didn't even get a chance to snap a picture ;)
A quick train ride was in order as well.
And finally a stop to see the Easter Bunny. It was such a fun morning!
After lunch we headed over to Play Street for the cutest Easter party of all time :)
The kids had to hunt for eggs numbered 1-12 and then trade them in for an "easter bunny house" to decorate.
They had all the candy and treats out and (as always!) everything was set up SO CUTE!
We headed straight from Play Street to Mason's flag football game. His bestie broke his elbow last week and wasn't able to play but Mason was ON FIRE at the game and when we got in the car and I asked him about how great he played he goes, "well.. Jack couldn't play so I had to play for him". SWEET BOYS!!!
Saturday night I was trying to get things ready for Easter the next day after the kids were in bed when Mason came downstairs because he "just couldn't sleep". Nothing a little snuggling in my bed couldn't fix.
Sunday morning we did Easter baskets and cinnamon rolls..
... and Dave left for work early so we texted him a group pic before we picked up my parents for church.
Not going to lie - I love Easter outfits! LOVE!!!
Sunday night we had my parents and some friends over for burgers, games and what I feel must have been the biggest backyard egg hunt EVER. hahaha And this was the only picture I took because we were having that much fun.
The night went LATE (as the good ones normally do!) and ended like this...
It was SUCH a great weekend and one of our best Easter's to date (also the first Easter in 3 years that hasn't been on one of my kids' birthdays!).
I'm extra grateful for the extra long weekend because I'm feeling like the "end of the year ball" has officially started rolling and then next thing I know it's going to be June! Anyone else???
Happy HAPPY Tuesday, friends!!!
What a wonderful weekend!!!!

DeleteLooks like a wonderful Easter weekend! Andrea- I love coming to your little corner of the world and seeing what your family is up too. I feel like we would be friends in person if we ever met. :) You are shining a bright light and are so inspiring to me as a working teacher and Mom. Thank you!

ReplyDeleteHe is totally "mini-Dave!"
