What's Up Wednesday

Today I'm linking up with  ShaySheaffer and  Mel for What's Up Wednesday!

This week's been a bit hectic so far... Monday we met at McAllister's for a quick dinner in between vision therapy, football and parent night at school...

... and then last night I hosted our annual scarf exchange (a week early because #alltheschedules) and made  chicken spaghetti, biscuits, salad,  mini pumpkin cream pies and  mini apple spice cupcakes.

And meanwhile the kids ate chicken fingers while they waited on Luke's golf lesson :)

Every year when we have our scarf party I reminisce about past years...

The first year I stuck a onesie in my bag that said "coming April 2013" and when the bag was opened nobody knew whose package it was and it was just one of my most favorite memories EVER.  And the next year I ended up bringing the surprise with me :)  So many special memories...

I got a couple of these big key rings in the Spring and am still loving them!  I carry big bags and was always losing my keys somewhere in the bottom of them and that problem has been completely solved.  I have  this wallet attached to the one I use for my home/car keys and love that I can run into a store and not have to bring my bag.

You can grab any of their key rings for 15% off with the code ANDREA15 now through September 30th!  These would be great teacher Christmas gifts (we gave the silicone ones to all of the kids teachers at the end of the last year!) if you're into shopping ahead! (and if you do shop ahead the key rings fit perfectly into these gift boxes!)

Luke started golf lessons this week and he loved it!

I'm dreading watching everyone else start wearing their Fall wardrobe while those of us in Texas continue to battle the 90+ degree temps.  In the meantime, I'll continue to daydream...

I'm working on the Homecoming dance for middle school - booking vendors and planning.  I'm still looking for a WOW that can top last year's photo booth :)

Dave and I are going to a "draft party" tonight for an MCA fantasy football league we're part of.  Admittedly I have NO football knowledge, but I'm excited about the company and the snacks. :)

I'm reading  True Colors by Kristin Hannah and am LOVING IT!

We're deep into Big Brother and I don't really have a favorite at the moment.  Sam is CA-RAZY and I kind of like it and Blake is so over the top I'd totally love to see him win.  But this is what my face looks like a lot of the time that we're watching it...

Unfortunately I'm STILL wearing a lot of my summer staples...

RESTING!!!  We don't have any big plans other than getting our lives back in order after a crazy week.  I'm thinking pool time, play time and (fingers crossed) nap time :)

Homecoming Week!!! It's seriously one of the most exhausting weeks of the year for me (I'm the MS student government sponsor) but is SUCH a blast.  And now that my own kids are getting older nad more involved it's just getting better!  I mean... what other week of the year do you have a T-Rex in your room...

... get to dress up as shark week...

... and see your babies in ALL the blue and gold?!?!

This year Griffin will be doing a cheer with the JV cheer squad at the pep rally and big game and I can't wait!!!

I LOVE my Birkenstock sandals so much I picked up  these clogs and LOVE THEM!  They're ridiculously comfy and I can't wait to wear them all Fall.

And the bonus question for the month was Back To School traditions and you can read about my FAVORITE one  HERE - our Back to School Brinner!

Happy Wednesday, friends!!!!

  5. Trying to guess who you are referring to as Colton on big brother - maybe Brett because he is certainly over the top! :)
