Happy Hump Day, Friends!!!
Day One of inservice was awesome. I loved seeing all my co-workers, was excited to get back in my classroom and am ready for a new batch of students. It's going to be a GREAT school year!
Our BFG pool party was last night and we sent summer out with a BANG! BFG stands for Bible Fellowship Group - and it's pretty much a big long word for Sunday School class :)
Dave and I joined this particular class right after we got married in 2005 and it has been SUCH a blessing.
Hard to believe that when we joined the class no one had kids. hahaha
We brought our giant inflatables that SOMEONE gave my kiddos for their birthdays and they were a HUGE hit. :)
She gave him a total run for his money in the "party dance" department and I almost peed my pants I was laughing so hard.
Shaking their booties.
Several readers here and IG friends have asked about Mason and Luke's new shoes. They're Jefferson Natives and we are officially the biggest fans EVER.
Mason HATES tennis shoes, and actually, he prefers to be barefoot as much as possible. He also has really stinky little feet - and these don't stink at all.... so they're perfection. If they're out in the grass and dirt their feet do get dirty - but I usually just wipe them off with a baby wipe when we get in the car.
Both boys wore them outside to play on Monday and the shoes were NASTY when they came in. I washed them in warm soapy water in the sink and they dried within minutes and looked great.
They come in tons of fun colors and Luke is already asking if he can wear them to school. hahaha.
Check them out HERE if you're interested. I think you'll probably be hooked too.

Oh my goodness! We had so much fun last night!!! Who would have thought it would have been cool while we were swimming?!?! It's August and I was kind of cold! And those Native shoes...love them. Love, love, love them. :)
ReplyDeleteI still can't believe how cold the water is!!! I think this is the first summer that the water hasn't felt like bath water! I'll take it!
DeleteCole needs every color!!!! Thank you!!!!
ReplyDeleteYES!!! I am LOVING the lime green - I think rhose are next up for us :)
DeleteThanks for planning the party, Andrea!!! SO MUCH FUN!!!
ReplyDeleteYou're so welcome! And I'd love to take credit for lots of work - BUT all I did was have Dave put it on the calendar and then HOUND y'all with emails about it :) hahaha
DeleteI just love the pool that ya'll go to together, it looks like such a great time!
ReplyDeleteThanks! It's actually at the club that my husband manages - so we got to use it while it was closed. #perk hahaha :)
DeleteOh, the party dance! Haha! I love it! Sad we missed! Looks like it was a blast!! :)
ReplyDeleteWe missed you too!!! And you could have done your booty dance right there with them, Narci!!! :)
DeleteWe LOVE our Natives!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure why it took me so long to get on board with them - but they are THE BEST!!!
Deletei have fallen in your love with your family, Shay (Mix and Match Mama) and Shaeffer's (pinterest told me to) through your blogs.. i too have a "dancer" that shakes his booty, is Baptist haa, he's 1 1\2, has stinky feet and we love our natives too! :)
ReplyDeleteYAY! Glad we're not the only ones with stinky feet :) Thank you so much for reading!!!
Deletewhat a fun end of the summer party! Now that's a lot of kiddos!!!
ReplyDeleteI know! It never really hits me until we gather them up for a group pic :)
DeleteLooks like such an awesome time! Our church is tiny so N and E are the only kids in the nursery-- can you believe that? I can't wait for the day we can have a special group like you all have :)

WHAT?!?! The only ones??? That's CRAZY!! Our church has to separate kids into classes by the month they're born. So for example there's not one three year old class... there's four! Jan-Mar 2011, April - June 2011, July - September 2011 and October - December 2011. That's equally crazy :)
DeleteLooks like a super fun party. I love pool parties, they are fun and tire everyone out!!
ReplyDeleteMy kids were all EXHAUSTED and it was a fabulous thing :)
DeleteGirl I love how special you've made summer for your kids. What a wonderful mama you are
ReplyDeleteso sweet, mama! THANK YOU!
DeleteThe picture of Mason and Paisley dancing is too cute!
