Sigh
My little mister is getting way too big way too fast. Sigh. ;)

Before I Forget
Before I forget, I wanted to blog about something cute Luke said... We were talking about upcoming holidays (mentally escaping from the 110 temps) and when we got to Christmas I reminded Luke that Christmas is Baby Jesus's birthday (Shameless RHONJ reference - hahaha) and he responded with we should make Baby Jesus a cake for his birthday. Then my favorite, "Mommy we should probably make baby Jesus a Dr Pepper cake for his birthday - Jesus REALLY likes Dr pepper cake :)
Later, we were talking about Santa and leaving cookies and milk out for him. I asked Luke what kind of cookies he thought we should leave out for Santa and he replied, "ice cream sandwiches". Too cute!
P.S. The poor quality phone pics are of my little guy sporting a smurf hat that he got at Build-a-Bear at NorthPark yesterday.

It's A Pirate's Life...
As everyone already knows, it's been 5 million degrees here lately. So hot, in fact, that it's almost too hot to play with water outside (unless you're submerged in it). One afternoon last week Luke really wanted to play outside with his pirate water table and since 1) it was 5 million degrees and 2) I had a dishwasher to unload and laundry to put away I decided to bring it inside. Luke thought it was just about the coolest thing to ever happen to him, and it kept him busy for several hours.

Today
Me and my sweet THREE MONTH OLD (when, people, did this happen?!?!?!) today after church: Love! Love! Love! That sweet bald head :)
We tried to get Luke in on the picture action, but he was busy reuniting with his Cars and Thomas track after being away all morning adn wasn't too interested in sitting with Mommy and Mason. Sidenote: Luke has taken to calling me "mom" instead of mommy and it's just about to break my heart. He thinks it's HILARIOUS... me, not so much. :)

3 Months!
Mason - you turned three months old on Saturday and are still proving to be the most laid back, relaxed and easy baby ever!
- You eat about every three hours during the day
- You will pretty consistently be up for an hour and a half and sleep for about an hour to an hour and a half during the day
- You can roll from your belly to your back (and have rolled from back to belly a couple of times)
- You LOVE LOVE LOVE your big brother - you're definitely his biggest fan
- You also love the ceiling fans, when we yawn and looking at books
- You're super ticklish on your neck and thighs
- At night I usually feed you around 7:00 p.m., and then again at 8:30. We put you to bed right after you eat and we don't hear a peep from you until usually 7:00 a.m. (or a little bit later)
- You are sleeping in your own bed for all your naps and at night
- You LOVE bath time!
- You're still wearing 0-3 months clothes for the most part. 0-3 pants typically are WAY too big, but you can wear some 3-6 month onesies and shirts
- You've taken a bottle several times and have never once protested about it

Any given day
On any given day this summer, here's what you'd find if you dropped in to my house:
Luke's mornings look like this...
Mason's mornings look like this...
(sidenote: these pics are from about a week and a half ago - since then Mason has made the transition to his crib full time!)

This Morning
Lately
Here are a few phone pictures from last week.
Sunday after church Luke wanted to be swaddled up just like his baby Mason... we obliged...
On this particular Sunday I was EXHAUSTED! Dave had to work in the afternoon and so I decided to lie down for just 10 minutes. About 45 minutes later Dave found me like this:
Mason LOVES it when we stick out our tongues at him and he has started mimicking us when we do it...
Cracking up:
My little builder...
All clean, changed and ready for bed!
Dinner with my two sweet boys (this was last Friday and yes, it's dinnertime and they are both still in their PJs from the night before - it was one of "those" days at home... cleaning, organizing, hiding from the heat, and staying in our PJs for a full 24-hrs)
Staring down his bath water:
