Called Out

I've been called out SEVERAL times this week for not updating my blog, so here's an update! I have a good reason for not updating though - I've been busy working on LOTS of cute blogs and cards for Slightly Askew Designs clients.

These pictures are from June 13th, when Dave and I took the boys on a bunch of errands and then out to dinner. We tried to snap a few pictures before we left, because everone was dressed and halfway presentable... Luke was NOT into having his picture taken...

He later decided that he wanted me to take a picture of him standing on one leg - what talent!
We ended up eating at Chili's where Luke SCARFED down his macaroni and cheese (no surprise there!)
After a trip to Target that ended in tears in the toy aisle (I know I have 100+ hot wheels cars at my house, but I don't have THIS one!!!), we ended up at McDonalds for ice cream and play time...
Chocolate sundae residue all over his face:

Brothers

I get varying opinions every day about whether Luke and Mason look alike - I tend to lean toward no and so today I decided to post a pic of both of them at about 9 weeks and compare... Opinions? Thoughts? I still think no - the hair is the most obvious reason, but I think that their coloring, mouths, face shapes, and noses are different as well. I'm interested to see as they grow up whether they'll end up favoring eachother more. I guess I'll have to wait and see!

2 Months Already?!?!?!

Is it possible that my Sweet Mister turned 2 months old LAST WEEK?!?! Believe it or not, last Thursday marked his 2-month birthday and we decided to commemorate the occasion with some vaccines and a few pictures.

He weighed in at 10 lbs 3.3 oz (21st percentile), was 21.75" long (15th percentile) and has a noggin circumference of 15.75" (51st percentile). Looking back at last month's picture I can't believe how much he's "filling out" - the little chunk-a-monk has already gained 70% of his birth weight!

Hillbilly Haircut

It's no secret that I cut Luke's hair - it has to be done every 2-3 weeks and I just can't see shelling out $20 to have someone else do what I can (sort of - hahaha) do myself. This time around I popped him into an old high chair in the garage (it usually sits at our craft table out there), plugged the clippers into the ceiling extension cord and went to town. Mason sat and watched, but he doesn't have too much to worry about - from the looks of his head it'll be a while before he needs a haircut :)

Gibi was over and so she took a go at the front (aka - the wave) of Luke's hair
(please excuse Mason's teeny little slumped self)

No three year old should produce a pile of hair this size every 2 weeks - it's crazy.

Saturday Morning

This past Saturday morning Luke and I built "the BEST Thomas track EVER!" (he's highly complimentary)
This "pose" is how you'll find Luke playing almost 90% of the time - even when he has his cars at Target or Market Street... this is how he wants to play
I was folding laundry and Mason was in the Bumbo - apparently having a hard time focusing on his hands :)
Believe it or not Mason is already outgrowing some of his clothes (sob! sob!) and so I was in his room sorting through onesies and pulling out some bigger sizes and Luke decided it was time to "teach Mason about Cars"...

This may be my new favorite picture - I LOVE how Mason is looking right at Luke. Luke is by FAR his favorite person and anytime Luke starts talking Mason starts craning his neck to see where he is... so cute!

LOVE that they're "playing together" - I can't wait until I can hear them both giggling and laughing together. :)

Water Baby

Sunday noght we headed to the pool at Stonebridge with my parents and brother to eat and swim. Dave put goggles on Luke and told him he could see underwater... Luke must have thought he meant breathe as well because he immediatley stuck his face under and sucked in a huge amount of water...

Gibi and Uncle Mark (who started a new job yesterday - congratulations!!!)

Me and Dave

Luke insists on wearing his crocs in the pool because the bottoms of his toes have been getting torn up from rubbing on the bottom of the kiddie pool... Mason had been outside with us the whole time so I decided to put him in (regular diaper and all) to cool off...

He was a little water baby!

All the boys:

Mason loves his bath, but I wasn't sure how he'd feel about the cooler water - he didn't seem to mind one bit:

Mason needed to eat, so Luke had Daddy and Uncle Mark all to himself:
