With Easter just around the corner I thought it would be fun to share some of my go-to Easter/holiday recipes in case you're getting your meal plan and grocery list together this weekend.
I LOVE a deviled egg and I feel like I've perfected the deviled egg itself as well as the garnish. They're going to sound weird but TRUST ME they are next level good and they look stunning too!
For the Candied Pecans:
What You'll Need...
- 6 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 tablespoons water
- 2 cups pecan halves
What You'll Do...
Step 1) Line a baking sheet with parchment paper
Step 2) Put the brown sugar, cinnamon, salt, vanilla, and water to a medium skillet. Place the skillet over medium heat and cook, stirring often until the brown sugar melts until a bubbling sauce.
Step 3) Stir in the pecans so that the brown sugar sauce coats them. Cook, stirring constantly, until the pecans start to smell nutty (3 minutes or so).
Step 4) Transfer the coated pecans to the parchment-lined baking sheet and spread them into a single payer. Allow the pecans to cool.
Step 5) Pop one pecan into each deviled eggs (find my favorite recipe HERE) and top each one with a piece of fresh dill and a sprinkle of paprika. TRUST.
JUST TRUST ME and give these a try. For me, the more dill the better!
If you're not a big deviled egg fan the pecans are DELICIOUS on their own and would be a great addition to a holiday charcuterie board.
This cherry cheesecake is something that is a staple at any holiday dinner hosted by my mom. I always assumed it was labor intensive because it is SO DANG GOOD, but after she brought it to a Christmas lunch one time (and received tons of compliments on it) I broke down and asked her for the recipe and was shocked and how easy it is! It keeps well in the fridge (just top it at the end) and tastes like it took a lot more time than it actually did ;)
When I make this now I most definitely make my own graham cracker crust and started making my own fresh strawberry topping which is WAY better than a canned option if you have the time.
This carrot cake is THE BEST!!!
Last, but not least These brown sugar glazed carrots are the perfect side dish to any holiday meal..
HAPPY menu-planning, friends!
