Woke up on Tuesday and hit the ground running and decided it was just as good of a day as any for a day in the life! So buckle up because here we go ;)
I was up earlier than normal because I was taking G to get her braces off and her appointment was at 7 am! This was right around 6:15....
I did my makeup including my favorite lip stain...
... retouched my hair and was done and enjoying a cup of tea by about 6:30.
I helped G straighten her hair, threw on an easy dress....
... and we were on the road by 6:50.
SO EXCITED!!!!
G went back and I made my to-do-list for the day and tried to organize my thoughts a bit...
... and the appointment was way shorter than I thought and we were getting her checked out before 7:40! This is "phase one" of her orthodontic treatment and she's getting a break for at least a few months while we wait for some baby teeth to come out and some adult teeth to move in.
Have you ever seen a more gorgeous smile?!?!?!
A celebratory Starbucks run was in order so we did that....
... and a little breakfast in the car...
.... and were at school with #allthethings by about 8:15.
I took over for the teacher who was subbing for me and wrapped up a financial literacy unit with my Pre-Algebra class...
... then made a big hot tea....
... before heading to chapel where we heard from the high school mission teams and prayed over their trips.
Back to class and it was time for my Honors Algebra class. They worked on a practice test...
... while I got some computer work done and had a snack...
... and then spent about 40 minutes answering questions, reworking problems, reteaching, etc.
After Algebra we have a short tutorial period and then on Tuesdays I have lunch duty. I had leftover pulled pork on a bun with mayo (don't knock it 'til you try it) with the company of 150 middle schoolers ;)
Back to class round 12:30....
... where G ran into one f her FAVORITE teachers ever!
And then my sandal completely broke andI had to break out my emergency flip flop before teaching my second section of pre-algebra.
My class was over at 1:50 and then I had "quad duty" where I have to keep eyes on our quad area and make sure there aren't any shenanigans (if you have a middle schooler you know) and then I quickly grabbed my notebook...
... and met Luke for a meeting with his academic guidance counselor to talk all things College. It was a GREAT meeting but I just kept thinking "how is this already happening?!?!?!". Bittersweet to the max!
Our meeting lasted about and hour and then I headed back to middle school...
... and remembered that I had ANOTHER meeting at 3:00 so I pretty much walked right into that (we met outside at a picnic table - perks of an outdoor campus) for about another 30 minutes...
... and then met up with some cuties in my classroom for some homework work time and lots of laughs....
... before we packed things up and headed home around 4:25.
LOADED DOWN!!!
Luke was already home and Mason was at golf practice (he catches rides with upperclassmen) so I spent a few minutes tidying up...
... while G flipped through a new photobook that arrived in the mail.
G's golf shoes came in...
... Rosie tried to pretend she wasn't the one eating the paper out of the shoe box...
... and then I got a smoothie made for Luke (he was home from track since he's getting over the flu)...
... and a snack plate assembled for G before she headed off to dance.
I got G's new shoes sprayed...
... had my own little snack moment...
... adn then right around 5:55 we headed out to dance with homework in tow.
I got G dropped off and then jetted back to school for a cheerleading meeting at 6:30...
... and then found myself at Sprouts around 7:20 picking up some supplements for Luke and some gummy bears for me ;)
Picked G up at 7:45...
... and got home quick so Dave could see her cute new smile.
At this point it was around 8 pm so I quickly showered off, changed and did my nightly "skincare"...

Mason had been busily working on a project so I chatted with him about that...
.. and then made a Southwest bowl to enjoy while watching a show with G.
We eventually moved the party into Dave and my bed...
... and I baked up some cookies (I had already made the dough!) for everyone before literally collapsing into bed around 10:00 p.m.
I fell asleep doing my quiet time and it was glorious!
Phew! That was a busy one ;). HAPPY Thursday, friends!!!

I will always love these types of posts! You had a great, albeit busy, day. I can't believe your kiddos are the ages they are now!
