Hey, friends!!! Lots happening over here - Homecoming weekend followed by a trip to Waco for State XC yesterday and some things I'm trying to catch up on at home ;) That said, my regularly scheduled post isn't happening tonight so I'm resharing one of my most popular posts ever... Halloween Doodle Towns!
Print them for your kiddos to color, staple them into a book format and have your kids write a story and use them as the illustration, print a set for yourself to color while you watch TV, make a stack of them for the littles to color post-trick-or-treating while you sort through their candy, etc.
WHAT A WHIRLWIND OF A WEEKEND! Homecoming has been greatly-anticipated over here and I (kind of) can't believe it's come and gone ;)
The fun started on Thursday night when we had our school-wide tailgate event where the high schoolers exchange mums/garters, varsity sports do a little dance thing, cheer performs, the lil' stangs sports teams are announced, etc.
I CAN NOT believe that these kids are juniors!
I made this soup a couple of weekends ago and it was an instant favorite. It almost tastes cheesy but it actually doesn't have any cheese in it. The flavor is SO GOOD and it's creamy but not overly thick. I've been making lots of soups in an effort to bring on Fall and so far it hasn't been working but the soups have been delish ;)
I'm sorry - but they just don't make movies like they used to. I said what I said and I stand by it! We have always loved watching "nostalgic" movies with our kids and this weekend Griffin and I watched My Girl and had me thinking that this would make such a great blog topic. I'm going to share ten of our tried and true favorites today and then some suggestions over the next couple of weeks.

If you've been following along with me on social media you know that last week was a big spirit week on our Middle School campus that included theme days, games, activities, etc. and ended in a big silent disco party on Saturday night. Add to that that report cards were due for me on Sunday night and the blog had to take a backseat to other priorities this weekend. I made this apple cider cake a couple of weekends ago and it lasted about 2 days in my house ;) I've made it twice since then and this is the best picture I have because it goes that fast. It's the PERFECT early Fall dessert!

It's October which means my Halloween touches are out and I'm LOVING IT! I've definitely gone more neutral over the years and have pared down my decor quite a bit, but couldn't be happier with it!
So this may be the most niche post of all time but I am SO EXCITED because I'm not sure there's anything I love more than a seasonal puzzle. I'm super picky about puzzle designs and feel like I've curated my preferred brand list down to *chef's kiss* so here we go with my seasonal recommendations in case you like to have a fun puzzle going on your table at all times but especially during the "ber" months ;)
