Before I start back with my regularly scheduled content this week, I wanted to take today to acknowledge what's been going on in the Texas hill country this weekend because, honestly, it has really been all I've thought about since I first heard about the tragedy unfolding early Friday afternoon.
This caption I saw last night pretty much perfectly describes how I'm currently feeling.
If you're looking for a tangible way to support families in the hill country you can click HERE to gift diapers and wipes for a month for $50. It's easy and something that you can do now.
Samaritan's Purse is another incredible organization that we fully trust.
I have several friends, students and former students with connections not only to Camp Mystic but other camps and organizations in Kerr county so if/when I hear of specific and vetted ways that we can help I'll share (more than likely over on my IG).
"And may we, the rest of us, hold our children a little closer - not in fear lone, but in deep gratitude for every single breath we get to share." (@momofbigs on IG)
My heart hurts.
ReplyDeleteI've worked for Samaritan's Purse for 15 years and I guarantee they will be a tangible help and are on the way right now. Thank you for supporting them.
ReplyDeleteI cannot stop thinking about it. Just devastating.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Andrea. It is devastating, and we are praying from Georgia.
