G and I had SO MUCH FUN yesterday working on one of the easiest craft projects EVER!! She was able to make several necklaces for friends and a few bracelets all within the hour.
LOOK HOW CUTE!!! Literally all you need is a bandana and some charms. Snip the bandana and rip it to create the strip, lace the beads on and you're done. Seriously.
I'm sure you could get WAY more involved with braids and clasps and knots but all she did was rip and thread.
She did each of their initials mixed in with charms and pony beads. They'll just knot them to wear them and if/when the bandana part wears out they can cut it and reuse the beads on another bandana necklace or a bracelet.
I used pony beads and alphabet beads and knots in between to make a crazy quick bracelet that I literally just tied a bow on to wear.
After I took these pics we worked on a couple of braided necklaces that we need to finish tomorrow and I'll either add to this post or share on Friday but I couldn't wait to share this idea in case you're looking for something super fun and easy to do with your kids (or yourself!). You could also make these as "key chains" and just knot them onto your backpack zippers or car keys. DARLING!
All of our beads and charms I picked up at Hobby Lobby but I'm linking some super similar ones below that you can shop online as well.
HAPPY Wednesday, friends!
Ashby and Mades would LOVE this!
