Three Things

Today's three things pics are all from their second birthdays - because birthday month is coming up and I've been doing all the reminiscing ;)

- OUTDOOR TRACK -

Luke finished up a great indoor track season and is LOVING outdoor.  He's running the 800 and 1600m but I think his favorite part is hanging out with his friends all day ;)

- LEAVE IT TO LUKE -

A few months Luke started a little business called "Leave it to Luke" where he essentially was like, "I'll do whatever you need". hahaha. He's done organizing projects, done goodwill runs, worked at charity events, painted rooms, pet sat, house sat, etc. He's LOVING working for himself and has been SO BUSY!

- SAN ANTONIO -

Luke spent last week in San Antonio and had A GREAT time! They worked with Blueprint ministries doing construction work for local families and he learned a ton and his team was able accomplish a lot. In addition to working they were able to go to a Spurs game, hang out at The Pearl and visit the Riverwalk. He had a blast!

- COURSE SELECTION -

Mason has been working on his course selection for high school next year and I seriously can't believe it.  He's so excited to take some more advanced art classes and is also hoping to take graphic design.  I know that this is going to fly by!

- GOLF -

Golf season started a couple of weeks ago and they had their first tournament. Their team came in second and he got third on his team (even with them not being able to finish the last four holes and being given double bogey on them) and he is so excited to be back on the course.  I think golf will be the sport he sticks with in high school - but we'll see!

- SMOOTHIE KING -

Mason has recently discovered how EASY smoothies are to make and if you need a smoothie he'd be happy to make you one ;) Seriously. LOVES making a smoothie!

- EXPOSE AND BOND -

G had a double "expose and bond" procedure done on Monday where she had two impacted teeth surgically exposed and then had brackets bonded to them (under her gums) with chains attached. The chains are currently attached to her wire, but her orthodontist will be able to manipulate the wire to bring those impacted teeth down into the correct position. It's been rough, but she's been a champ and we're hopeful that this will be a great solution for her.

- CHEER TRYOUTS -

G LOVED middle school cheer this year and has tryouts coming up in a couple of weeks.  The anticipation has started and I'm already ready for it to be over ;)

- THEATER -

Next year's schedules have been the talk of the dinner table since both of the boys have been working on their course selections and G is going to switch from choir to theater and I'm SO EXCITED for her!

- SPRING BREAK -

Y'all.  I can't begin to tell you how needed this break was. hahaha I have been LOVING the slow days at home before the craziness of fourth quarter kicks off.

- MODERN FAMILY -

Dave and I have been rewatching Modern Family and I had totally forgotten how funny it is! IF you need something fun to watch rewatch it - TRUST!

- GRILLING SEASON -

The weather has warmed up and we can't stop grilling.  When summer hits I feel like it's almost too hot to grill but we have been LOVING the warm days, cool nights and firing up the grill.

  1. Love Luke's business! Graphic design is SO Mason. . .what an opportunity he will have getting to start learning so early. He can help Luke with merch ;). Poor G. . .that procedure sounds extremely painful. Ugh. Theatre sounds like a solid switch - there's acting, directing, sets, so.much.stuff there to explore. And YES for grilling season!!!

  3. First off these photos are adorable! And congrats to Luke on his new business. What a great idea. I spent my senior year in high school taking 4 different art courses; a few were independent studies I planned and carried out with my art teacher so Mason is definitely a boy after my own heart. I hope graphic design works out for him. Poor G; I hope the worst of the pain has passed!
