Summer Declutter 2024

I shared about my "summer declutter" two summers ago and did a really bad job of sharing updates along the way or at the end - and then last summer I'm fairly certain I dropped the ball entirely.  Well, this summer with all my new-found time thanks to Luke having his license and my taxi-mom duties relieved I'm officially committing to declutter my entire house one space at a time.  Things just accumulate and get disheveled throughout the school year and I LOVE starting the school year off knowing things are a little lighter than they were in May.

So.  What have I done so far?  So far I've made my list...

... and started (yesterday) tackling one of my worst spaces - the "craft closet".  Some of the things on my list are super simple (i.e. nightstands) and some are MAJOR projects (the attic) BUT I'm committing to tackling something (pretty much) daily and then recapping how much CRUD I eliminated from our house at the end of the summer.

I'll share little projects as I tackle them over on IG stories and will do a final update on here when I've completed (fingers crossed!) my entire list.  If you join in make sure you tag me over on IG so I can keep up with your progress as well.

Happy Summer decluttering, friends!!!

  1. Ok...I think you've inspired me....I think I'm going to join along. Mine will take longer since I only have the weekends. But maybe I could do a nightstand or two in the evenings after work or something like that.

  2. Decluttering is the worst but totally needs to happen. I just did a couple of cabinets in my kitchen last weekend and felt so accomplished. It makes such a difference. We live in Texas though so you need to save the attic for a winter weekend when its cold!
