Three Things

Today I'm sharing 3 things about everyone and am randomly using pictures from when each of them were about 9 months oldbecause CUTENESS and also because it's birthday month which has me looking through ALLLL the old pics.

- SO CLOSE -
Luke will be (fingers crossed!) a fully-licensed driver TOMORROW!  He passed his road test earlier this week and has his appointment at DPS tomorrow afternoon.  Praying we have all the right paperwork together and he'll be licensed to drive on his own.  I still can't believe we're here!

- SPANISH -
Luke has been LOVING Spanish this year.  So much so that he's going to apply to be in a dual-credit Spanish class next year that will give him a college credit along with his high school one.  Foreign languages are NOT my forte (not in the least!) so it's been fun to see him really enjoy Spanish.

- FOR HIRE -
With summer coming up Luke is on the job hunt.  He reffed soccer last year but with his track schedule it's been hard for him to get games in so he's filled out some applications and is looking forward to earning some money.

- TEENAGER -
Mason is going to be a teenager next Tuesday! I seriously can't believe it. The plan is to celebrate with a pickup game of kickball with his buddies and pulled pork sandwiches ;)

- PRO CREATE -
Mason got an iPad Pro and pencil with the Procreate app for Christmas and he's been watching and following all kinds of tutorials and has been learning so much!  He LOVES design and it has been so cool to watch him apply what he's learning on the tutorials to his own designs.

- FIRST DANCE -
Mason's first middle school dance is tomorrow night and he's prepped and ready ;) He's been coming to middle school dances for FOREVER to help me get things set up and all of that but it's his first time as an attendee and he's pumped!

- RECITAL COSTUMES -
It's recital season and costumes are coming in and YOU ALL... she has one that's like a retro flight attendant that is over the top cute. I literally can't wait to see her in it on stage!

- CHEER!!! -
G tried out for middle school cheer last week and made it!  She is so so so excited and we're beyond thrilled for her.

- LOTS OF LASTS -
We're really starting to have lots of "lasts" with elementary school coming to a close and I think she may be sadder than I am. Last class party, last field trip, last time to bring birthday treats, etc.  How grateful we are that she's had something so wonderful that moving on is hard!

- PUB MIX -
Listen.  If you're not buying the giant pub mix from Costco you're missing out.  It's SO SO SO GOOD!

- SLEEPOVER -
Well... we've started a bad (but maybe not so bad) habit with Frank and he's been sleeping in our bed. hahaha. NEVER SAY NEVER, right??? If he's in his crate at night he wakes up at least once to go out but if he sleeps with us he's out like a light all night.  We'll see how this plays out! hahaha

- POWER WASHING SEASON -
If you're looking for me in the next few weeks, I'm probably power washing.  I LOVE IT SO MUCH!  It's instant gratification, relaxing and I could do it all day long.  I've tackled outdoor furniture and most of the patio so far and am PUMPED to finish the backyard this weekend.

HAPPY Thursday, friends!!!

  1. I love that you used photos of them each when they were 9 months! Griffin will forever be that age in my eyes.

  2. We were those people too....said we would never have a dog in our bed. Then we got a tiny little maltipoo (she is 5lb fully grown now) and it was easier to have her in bed with us, because like you mentioned, they sleep so much better! It's amazing how much room a little 5lb dog can take up! Frank is sooo cute!!

  3. It's weird how all those milestones often hit all at once isn't it?! Congrats to your new driver. I was to thankful that our driving school handled all the paperwork for us so that once my kids passed their drivers test all we had to do was go online and pay our state DMV (department of motor vehicles) and their new licenses were mailed to us using the same photos as their learner's permit (in the meantime they had a temporary license they could drive with).
