Homemade One-Pot Hamburger Helper

LOVE that this is one-pot and while it has super similar vibes to our favorite "meaty mac", it's different enough that there's definitely room for both in our rotation.  This wasn't quite as creamy as meaty mac but the flavor was just as good!

What You'll Need
- 1.5 lbs ground beef
- half an onion, chopped
- 1 lb (4 cups) pasta
- 5 cups beef broth
- 1 cup water
- 3 heaping tablespoons tomato paste
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons parsley
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire
- 1.5 cups milk
- 3 cups shredded cheddar jack cheese

What You'll Do
- Sauce the onions for a few minutes, then add in the ground beef and brown until cooked through.
- Add the pasta, the broth and water, tomato paste, garlic powder, parsley and Worcestershire.  Cover and let it simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- After 15 minutes the pasta should have been cooking for 7 or 8 minutes or so.  Add the milk, cover and let it simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
- Stir in the cheese until melted, remove from the heat and let it stand for about 10 minutes until it thickens up a bit.

If you make this I'd love to hear what you think!
