Creek Splashing - Limestone Quarry Park
We started going to the creek at Limestone Quarry park back in 2020 and it is SUCH a gem!
The water has always been super clear and I've felt comfortable letting the kids take a dip while exploring.
As you walk toward the middle of the park, you will come across a playground. Immediately behind the playground is a bench, behind which you can access a dirt footpath leading down to the creek.
Bring snacks, sunscreen and towels for the car ride home. Trust.
Animal Watching - Dallas Zoo
We've been big fans of the Dallas Zoo for YEARS and it's one of those places that my kids still like to go to which makes my mama heart super happy ;)
Do y'all recognize these kiddos?!?!?!
JENI!!! I can not!!!
We love that the zoo is a manageable size and that you can bring in your own picnic lunch. There have been several exhibits updated and our FAVE is the hippos!!!
My biggest tip - become a zoo member! For our family of five it pays for itself in 2 visits, alleviates some of the pressure to "spend the day" there and gives you some perks like early entry, free parking and FREE rides on the carousel!
Park Playing - Bonnie Wenk, McKinney
This park is one of our FAVORITES because it's HUGE and fun and super shaded. There are walking trails (some along a creek), several different playgrounds, a dog park (if you don't have a dog you can just go and play with other peoples dogs - hahahaha), accessible swings, an outdoor fitness court, lake, etc.
It's definitely worth the drive if you live around here and if you're coming through the area worth the stop!
HAPPY Thursday, friends!!!
Stop it right now with the baby Smith photo! You're going to have me in tears at my desk! WASN'T THAT YESTERDAY?!
