Halloween Decor

I spent some time getting our house all spooky this weekend and seriously had so much fun playing around with various pieces and getting to be a little bit creative.  I feel like Halloween decor officially kicks off "holiday decor" season which makes my heart SO HAPPY!

This year I decided to use lots of these galvanized pieces I had to create a fun kind of monochromatic mantel look.  The jack-o-lanterns you can find  HERE and the houses were Homegoods finds several years ago.  The drapey fabric stuff I'm pretty sure I've picked up at Target or Walmart but you can also find it  HERE.  I have a few different pieces from different years and I like mixing the textures.

The bats are THESE and I used masking tape to hang them instead of the sticky stuff they came with.  I really like that they're a pvc material and not paper and the varying sizes are great.

I used  two sets of these battery-operated fairy lights and I just wove them through the houses and jack-o-lanterns.

The ghost blanket was a homegoods find two years ago - is it not the cutest ever?!?!?!

The cakestands I have collected over the years - I typically have picked them up at Homegoods and have quite the little collection of various heights and sizes that I use for projects like this as well as as plant stands, etc.

They're super inexpensive and make a huge difference when you're trying to add various heights and levels.

The lights went out on our Halloween tree last year so this year we upgraded to a bigger tree and it could not be cuter!  I couldn't find a pre-lit one so I bought three sets of these lights to string on it and they're perfect.

There are homemade photo ornaments, glittery black ornaments and some Johanna Parker wooden ornaments as well as skeletons, random pumpkins and some crows I found at Dollar Tree probably 10+ years ago.

I kept the kitchen table pretty simple (yes! that's a new table - isn't it fun!?!?!)

And just put out a couple of fun metal pumpkins I've had for years.

I added a few fun napkins and straws to this little beverage area...

... and put a few little festive touches in the glass cabinets above.

There's a stack of Halloween dessert plates out...

... my very favorite decoration on display...

... and a few other spooky touches around.

Our kitchen table has been moved into the dining room and I LOVE IT!  I put out my large staub pumpkin as well as the minis and think they work perfectly in here.

I hope you liked the little tour and possibly found some inspiration if you haven't already decorated.

HAPPY Tuesday, friends!!!

  5. Always love your holiday decor! You nail it for all of the holidays. Important question, how do you get he white sticky stuff off your walls from the bats? I still have small white squares all over my walls from previous years.
