What's Up Wednesday

Today I'm linking up with  Shay and  Sheaffer to talk a little bit about what's been going on around here!

Cookies! ;)  I made my  go-to chocolate chip cookie recipe and keep the dough on hand for after-dinner (and lunch the next day) treats.  If you make the recipe make sure you refrigerate the dough overnight before baking - I feel like that's what makes it!

I was working on Halloween ornaments which had me sifting through old pics and these favorites...

I pulled this together the afternoon of our Sunday School class's harvest party and it's one of my forever favorites.

We've had some cooler mornings this week (PRAISE JESUS!) and I was inspired to bring a little Fall to my classroom planter.  I added  this pumpkin and it is DARLING!!!

The boys have been busy running and the CC team hosted a "highlight run" event this week and invited the school out to cheer on the CC team since coming to a meet is a challenge since they're on weekends and have been pretty far away.  It was a fun night and Mason was awarded the "Ric Flair" award for the meet last Saturday ;)

This is a pic of our attic when it was clean and organized.  We've been tossing things up here all summer (camp trunks, extra lamps, seasonal decor, etc) and pretty much shutting the door and running because it's 250 degrees up there but the cleanout time is coming. LORD, HELP ME.

I've been working on a couple of updates in our kitchen thanks to a super fun FB marketplace find and as soon as I get things wrapped up I'll show y'all!

Friday is our school's State Fair Day and while we don't have plans to go to the fair (it's going to be way too hot) on Friday I'm EXCITED about the family day!

I'm currently reading Malibu Rising....

... and am listening to  Finley Donovan is Killing It.

I'm not wearing this yet but I just ordered  this dress to pair with tights and clogs.  It's a super fine corduroy and I can't wait to see if it's as good in person as it is online!

Decorating for Halloween!  I'm undecided on how I'm going to do things this year but I'm excited to get my bins out and play!

All things spooky!!!

We got to try out  the new Solo Stove Mesa and it is SO MUCH FUN!  Y'all know we love our regular size solo stove (the bonfire) so when we got a chance to try out this new mini-version we jumped on it!

Mason loves to do his homework in the hot tub (because, of course he does!) and we brought out some s'mores supplies and the mesa and made a fun little evening out of it.

It's cool because you can fill it with wood pieces OR it has an adapter that allows you to use pellets.

So cute for nights when you really want a s'more/campfire but don' thave the space or time for the big solo stove.  You can click  HERE to check them out!

HAPPY Wednesday, friends!
