Friday Favorites

Erika and I are so excited that lots of y'all are linking up with us every week.  Make sure that you're grabbing our graphic, linking back to us and sharing your own Friday Favorites post ;)

This week a lot of my FAVES revolve around golf.  The weather has been so pretty and we've bedn getting the kids out for some practice and fun. Mason ON FIRE from a good shot was a FAVORITE...

... and so was this group pic ;)

Griffin's favorite part of golf is the polo shirts :)  Which cracks me up because she wears one every day to school so it's not like it's a novel item for her. hahahaha

Luke played in a tournament with school this week and had a top-10 finish. He wasn't super excited about his score but he's improving and having fun so that's my FAVORITE ;)

Griffin participated in a speech meet this week and got to wear something "dressy" to school.  HER FAVORITE!!!

If you're looking for a new snack idea these are my new FAVORITE.  I buy them in a big box (along with chocolate chip) at Costco - they're super filling and I LOVE the peanut butter!

A few new FAVORITE books in our house include the  graphic novel I survived series...

... ballet shoesMary Poppins and the oldie, but goody, Diary of a Pug. (affiliate linked)

Mason made this "stained glass" piece in art and it's a new FAVORITE addition to my bookshelf in my classroom.

We had some crazy storms and flooding on Monday night and on Tuesday we had to rescue what could possibly be the longest worm we'd ever seen from the school parking lot.  FOR REAL though!  Worms aren't my FAVORITE but Mason loves them ;)

Speaking of Monday - we had a girls night at Anamia's (if you're local) and I had the Jerry Chicken and it rocked my world.  I'm already thinking about having it again it was SO GOOD!  New FAVORITE for sure!

This cutie and her freckles are a FAVORITE...

... and that screen full of boys is a FAVORITE too ;)

Last, but not least, one of my very FAVORITE organizations - The McKinney Little Free Pantry - posted this photo last week...

... and OH MY WORD did it pull on my heartstrings.  What makes the free pantries unique is that they're placed in communities and accessible by whoever needs them 24/7.  I know that in the summer they're frequented A LOT by kids who normally receive meals at school and find themselves hungry at home and the pantry is in need of snacks and Ramen meals right now.  You can click  HERE to shop their Amazon wishlist directly if you feel so inclined (NOT AN AFFILIATE LINK!!!)

Happy Friday, friends!!!

  1. I've had issues commenting on your blog for awhile now (it doesn't seem to recognize me), but I had to figure it out for today's post. THAT NOTE AT THE LITTLE FREE PANTRY. My goodness that got me. I LOVE when you share Amazon wish lists. It makes it so easy to help!

  3. That note is heartbreaking. I get busy with life and forget there are people not as fortunate as us to have the basic things like ramen and snacks....things we take for granted. Thank you for posting the Amazon list. I'm headed there now to send them some snacks.

  4. Thank you for sharing things like the pantry wish list and that note that like you said pulls at your heartstrings. It's hard to always know which charity organizations you can trust but seeing a note like that makes a difference. I can never say no to a food drive!

  6. We used to love the I Survived series; I love that they are coming out with graphic novel versions. My boys would have devoured them! We had your crockpot chicken tetrazzini last night and it was a huge hit! (I did swap out the cream cheese for laughing cow cheese wedges since that's what I had on hand and it worked great). Thanks!
