Under $20 Gift Ideas/Stocking Stuffers

The first few years of doing stockings for our kids I feel like we made "rookie mistakes".  I hit up the dollar store and felt like I got a lot of bang for my buck, but most of it ended up in the trash within the first few days.  Since then, we put a little more "quality" rather than "quantity" and fill it up with some essentials that the kids need along with fun things for them as well.

With our kids, we leave their stockings outside of their doors and they go through them until they can come downstairs and then we all hang out and go through our stockings together before opening each of their Santa presents and then presents from us.

After the Santa gifts the kids each get three gifts from me and Dave and those are typically smaller gifts than their Santa presents.  There are SO MANY PRESENTS over various celebrations and between us, grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc. we feel like three (plus stockings and their Santa present) are plenty.

Here are some quick stocking stuffer ideas if you're working on filling those for your kids, spouse, etc.

Santa is bringing me  these meme stickers and I CAN'T WAIT!!! I love putting stickers on student papers and these are going to be a huge hit ;)

I don't understand the purpose of  the monkey noodle but all three of my kids are into them for whatever reason. hahaha. They're kind of a like a stress ball meets a fidget???  They're stretchy and fun and come in a package you could easily split among recipients.

It wouldn't be stockings at our house without  Burt's Bees chapstick.  It's the best one out there and you can never have too many tubes.

This logic puzzle book is landing in Luke's stocking and I can't wait for him to get it! It's a huge variety of puzzle types and I'm hoping that a few stump him ;)

This drawing book is PERFECT for Mason - a daily drawing prompt is right up his alley.

These logic puzzles were my FAVORITE as a kid and I'm hoping my kids love them just as much.

I've mentioned  this book a few times but it's BIG and has the sweetest illustrations and handwriting practices.

Cover your assets would be perfect in anyone's stocking.  It's super fun and addictive and we've been playing non-stop!

Square up is another super fun game - this is going in Dave's stocking this year.

To go along with the logic puzzle theme  THIS BOOK is going in G's stocking and I think she's going to love working through it.

I feel like  this book is a no-brainer ;)

I was introduced to  these hair ties at our favorite things party and immediately went home and oerdered them.  They're SO SO SO GOOD!!!

These telescoping back scratchers are my FAVORITE stocking purchase of 2021.  All my kids LOVE having their backs scratched and I think they'll flip over having these!

Why are  tiny hands so funny?  No clue - but they totally are and at least one person in your family needs a pair ;)

I got these choppers/scissors at our favorite things party as well and have been using them non-stop.  They're PERFECT for chopping salad!

I use these headbands every day and LOVE Them!

These are the best coloring books - they have tons of themes and the pictures are big and perfect for coloring with crayons.

HAPPY Thursday and happy stocking stuffing, friends!!!
