Today I'm linking up with Shay and Sheaffer to talk a little bit about what's been going on around here!
I don't typically eat breakfasts before school because it is SO EARLY but slower (later!) mornings this week have meant indulging in some of our very favorite breakfasts. Scrambled eggs and sausage squares while decorating the tree? Yes, please.
This picture of me and Luke from November 2016 popped up on FB memories the other day and it was a punch in the GUT because I remember Kelly saying, "it won't be long before he's as tall as you!" and that day seemed SO FAR off and now he's taller than me!
Grandparents Day at school was last Friday and it was such a sweet morning. We didn't have Grandparent's Day last year and so all of a sudden I realized that this was Mason's LAST one! BE STILL MY HEART!
The one and only pic I snapped - but it's a good one so I'll take it ;)
Decorating for Christmas!!! Rosie approves... kind of.
Finding the EXACT Doc Martens I had as a kid on poshmark for G :)
I just finished MAID on Netflix and I can't recommend it enough. The acting was SO GOOD and while it broke my heart into 1000 pieces it was also a great story of triumph. HIGHLY recommend.
Christmas Music! You can check out my Christmas playlist on Spotify below...
This week is all about oversized sweatshirts and leggings (or pj pants if I'm lucky enough just to be hanging at home)
I feel like this weekend really kicks off the Christmas season. We have our annual downtown McKinney Christmas event, Dave and Mason are part of our church's Christmas service, Griffin and I are going to see The Nutcracker and (fingers crossed) our Elf may be making his return!
Short answer? EVERYTHING!!!
This isn't new but this picture of my babies decorating the tree 5 years ago just about did me in this week - SO SWEET!!!
HAPPY Wednesday, friends and HAPPY (early) Thanksgiving!

That casserole is one of my FAVES!!!!! I wish I had some this morning...
ReplyDeleteI immediately search for and put your Spotify playlist on… Thank you!
ReplyDeleteThank you For posting that Christmas video from last year… It has reminded me how important it is to preserve memories that way. One thing that I saw in that video was the gratefulness your children had for their gifts… Almost immediately after opening and seeing what they got they ran to the person who gifted it to them with a joyful heart. Such sweet memories and a legacy you are building.
Can we PLEASE have a step by step on how your create your videos like this?!!! Like a “make a video for dummies” lol that’s me!
