This weekend was filled with lots of festive fun - first up was an afternoon at McKinney's Home for the Holidays event downtown. We've been going to this since it used to be "Dickens of a Christmas" and consisted of carolers dressed in period costumes and wassail on the street corners so it holds a special place in my heart for sure.
Y'all. When did Luke get so tall?!?!
G wrote and mailed a letter to Santa...
... and chatted with Mrs. Claus.
We ran into lots of friends...
... rode the carousel and ferris wheel... (Mason is cracking me up - borderline "too cool" for this stuff but didn't complain about going again either) ...
... checked out the petting zoo...
... got our faces painted...
... and shared some funnel cake :)
It was perfect weather and such a fun time.
Dave and Mason were shepherds in our church's Christmas service...
... they wrangled an unruly sheep and couldn't have been cuter in the process ;)
Sunday afternoon G and I headed to Dallas for a fun little girls date - but first we had to stop for some mac and cheese (with a side of mac and cheese) and sweet tea :)
We as the Rockefeller Christmas show put on by the Dallas Conservatory of Dance and it was FANTASTIC!
Snacks for the second act ;)
And there you have it! Currently prepping for school tomorrow and trying to find a way to slow things WAY DOWN because I don't want this season to speed by ;)
HAPPY Monday, friends!!!
So many HAPPIES this weekend!! I love that so many of them included us too! The best way to kick off the holidays is with the McAnallys :) !
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun weekend! We elected to skip our town's light parade since it was snow flurries and freezing cold. We had a quiet movie night at home instead. If you have HBOmax for streaming I highly recommend 8bit Christmas with Neal Patrick Harris; it's a great family movie we watched this weekend (rated PG).
ReplyDeleteLove G's red dress! Do you remember where you got it?
