Weekend Happies

Kicking the week off by sharing a few things that made me smile this weekend.  Some of my greatest joy comes from the small moments and I love having these posts to look back on :)

Like this girl thinking she was HOT STUFF waiting on the boys in the drivers seat ...

... some quiet moments to prep for the week...

... and catching these two reading together while eating bagels on Saturday morning.

Finally taking the plunge to try to rehab my formerly gorgeous. fiddle leaf fig...

... late night games of Rummikub...

... and these two sweet babies before church.

I love it when Luke "helps" Mason with building projects ;)

And watching these two do their version of "miss mary mac" made me smile REAL big.

This sweet girl wanting some scratches while I was trying to grade...

... getting COZY for a Sunday afternoon nap ;)

Praying that y'all have a wonderful start to your week - I'd love to hear something small that made you happy this weekend.  Leave a comment and I'll send a few of y'all Starbucks cards to add a little extra happy to your Monday.

  4. Your daughter with that haircut is absolutely adorable. Some happies of mine were celebrating a belated birthday supper with my daughter and son in law. Also, taking a meal to a coworker and holding her precious little boy. Praying you have a great week.

  5. This past week was my first week of in person learning (I’m a school counselor in NC) and this weekend I really got to reflect on how resilient our children are. It’s their third year with some sort of covid and they came in smiling under their masks so excited to be back and see their friends. I’m just happy they get some sort of normal this year.

Another positive is it looks like the temps may finally drop here 😂

  7. This made me happy (although, I will miss him)...dropping my husband at the airport to leave for a mission trip to Guatemala. First time either of us has been able to go since 2019.

  8. Something that made me happy this weekend was reflecting on my first week of in-person learning (I'm a school counselor in NC). This is our third year of some time of covid in the schools and our children are just so resilient. They have big smiles under their masks and were just so excited to be back despite the mandates.I just love seeing all the personalities and am so excited for this school year.

Another plus is the NC temps finally dropping later this week lol

I’m a fellow teacher during the week and a wedding planner on the nights/weekends. I had been working with my couple for the past 2 years planning their special day. It got postponed an entire year in 2020 and it finally happened this past Saturday! Getting able to see my clients finally get to enjoy their beautiful day tops my “weekend happies” list! Have a great start to your week!

  15. Love spreading joy like this! My mom; sister and I spent all day cooking everything we had in the refrigerator - vegetable bakes, risotto, a sponge cake - a bit of an eclectic meal but we spent all day together laughing and sharing stories, before inviting a few neighbors over to for dinner. It brought me so much joy. Oh, and it was cloudy and 65 degrees yesterday - fall is coming!

  60. We have the same teacher plan book! So simple and the pocket in the front is my favorite. This is my 32nd year in teaching...currently 4th ELA and Social Studies. I'm actually recovering from covid and day 9 of quarantine so I'm just happy that the nightmare is almost over. I miss my students so much. Since I had the vaccine, my symptoms were mild and as far as I know, I didn't infect anyone else which is my biggest fear. You amaze me how you do so much and teach full time also. I enjoy reading about your daily life.
