What's Up Wednesday

Today I'm linking up with  Shay and  Sheaffer to talk a little bit about what's been going on around here!

Broccoli Salad!  I made this salad to go with burgers over the weekend but have been more than happy to eat the leftovers for lunch this week as well.  I throw some in a yumbox with some deli turkey and fruit and I'm good to go.

Anna Grace sent me this pic last weekend reminding me that it was four years ago which pretty much seems IMPOSSIBLE!  Who has been reading long enough to remember casting a vote for AG's prom dress?  Or even longer than that who remembers when middle school Anna Grace was my "mother's helper" and single handedly helped me not lose my mind (or Mason!) the summer that Griffin was a newborn.  #goodtimes

Can you even believe that this gorgeous girl is about to graduate college??? And she landed her dream job as the assistant visual merchandiser for Loveshackfancy in Dallas!  HOW AWESOME IS THAT?!?!  Love you so much, AG!

Dave and I are making the move.. to a king size bed. We needed a new mattress and figured that the time was now.  Dave bought the bed we currently have in 2001 so it's lived a good long life and we're excited for something new.  This is the bedframe we bought and so far that's the only piece I've purchased.  I have my eye on a couple of nightstands but they have a July ship date so I'm seeing if I can find anything I love equally that can be here before then.

I got the portulaca planted in my pots by the pool and I am LOVING the pops of bright pink.  These take OFF during the summer and I love them so much!

The regular ol' things... shuttling kids to sports, church, friends houses, all the "normal" things we're so grateful for.

Nothing in particular!

Exams, a vegetable garden, getting our yard in order, summer plans, teacher gifts... I feel like if you name it I'm currently working on it. hahaha

But for real - look at these little plant babies grow! I have no clue what I'm doing but things are growing so I'm hopeful we may produce a single vegetable :)

I said I wasn't going to.  But here I am....

... back in Stars Hollow watching Gilmore Girls.  Again.

I just started  The Girls with No Names and am enjoying it so far.

It's denim jacket season, y'all.  That time of the year where it's chilly in the morning but hot in the afternoon and a denim jacket is a daily staple piece.  I was cracking up because on Monday night we were at Mason's football game and Luke (who DIDN'T NEED A JACKET, MOM!) gladly took my denim jacket off my hands when the breeze picked up.  He was running the camera and eating french fries in between plays and looking super cute in denim :)  Free People denim jackets are my absolute FAVORITES because of the weight and perfect color.  I have  this oversized one that I wear ALL THE TIME with leggings and recently picked up  this one because the length/fit is better for wearing over dresses.

Note: In the oversized jacket I wear an XS and it's plenty roomy - in the more cropped style I sized up to a medium because I didn't want it super fitted under the arms (my pet peeve!) and also didn't want it too cropped.  The sleeves are long but I typically cuff those anyway and I LOVE the fit.

I snagged some of the  new Allie and Bess 4mm ZO bracelets and, as always, they're my new FAVORITES!  The colors are so fun and happy and they're going to be perfect for mixing and matching.  Griffin got into my stash when the package arrived and was more than happy to sport a few to dance :)

SUMMER!!!!!  School gets out at the end of May and we're jumping straight into summer fun.  I'm looking forward to sleeping in, enjoying time with my kiddos and relaxing.  Did I mention sleeping in? :)

All the normal weekend things and I have big plans to start a puzzle since I got my exams wrapped up this week :)  #partytime

Happy Wednesday, friends!!!
