What's Up Wednesday

Today I'm linking up with  Shay and  Sheaffer to talk a little bit about what's been going on around here!

I had a few questions about this lunch from my day in the life post last week and thought I'd answer those since I eat a variation of this most days for lunch.

Turkey, cotton candy grapes (I don't freeze them because I don't like frozen grapes but I know lots of people love them like that!), Cheez-It Snap'd Cheddar and Sour Cream (these are SO GOOD and I'm not a cheez-it fan), pesto pasta salad from Market Street, Cucumbers and dill dip (I buy the Marzetti kind) and Muenster cheese.

Easter dresses ;) Is there anything sweeter???
I am not on my A-Game this year but in years past I totally was!

You know you're old and lame when this is what you're excited about but I'm excited about a HUGE project that we tackled last weekend.... our garage.

It wasn't on our radar but what started as what we call a "rage cleaning" (where you're so mad you can't find something that you tear stuff apart in order to find it) turned into a full-on overhaul and it is SO MUCH BETTER!!!  We purged a ton - donated a bunch and were able to pass along lots of fun things to friends and family with younger kids.  PRAISE HANDS for crossing this off the to-do-list!!!

These pics that a sweet friend snapped of Mason at his tournament last weekend...

Alllll the activities.  Love watching my kids do what they love!  (sidenote: Luke picked the perfect sport for his preference to not be photographed - he has his first golf tournament next week and he's pumped!)

We have a couple of baby bunnies in our yard and I am DREADING the next few weeks.  Rosie brought them to  us over the weekend and we were able to get them back in their hole safely but it's a rough world out there for baby bunnies and I'm dreading the day when we see evidence of on of them not making it ;(

Lots of yard work which means lots of trips to the garden center.  We somehow managed to leave the batman watering can behind but it would be super cute if you have a Batman fan at your house!

I just caught up with the latest season of Grey's Anatomy and I am NOT A FAN.  I don't want to give too much away but I'm not loving the "limbo" of the season and am for sure missing some of the more lighthearted episodes.   If you're watching what do you think???

I'm listening to the  Stillhouse Lake audio book and I can't put it down turn it off :)  It got my full attention from the very first paragraph and I find myself listening whenever I have little snippets of time.

Sandal season here has started and I was so excited to pull out my FAVORITE sandals probably of all time.  They are so comfy, still look almost new and go with EVERYTHING.  I have a few pairs of this same brand and they're all great but if you're looking for a sandal that you can wear with pretty much anything you need to give these a look :)

Luke and Mason competed in Math Olympics (it was Mason's first year) and they came in 1st and 5th in their categories!  It was an area level competition with schools from all over and we couldn't be more proud!

Allllll the birthdays!!! We're so excited to celebrate!

Some football training, two volleyball games, family Easter fun and I know Luke is hoping to play a few holes of golf before next week.

Happy Wednesday, friends!!!

  7. What type of football is Mason playing that he needs a foam helmet? We live in Canada and we only gave full gear tackle or flag. Just curious!

  8. Re Grey's Anatomy, I like the old characters coming back and feel like this would have made an awesome 1-2 episodes. Totally agree though that it is dragging on WAY too long. I'm super over it. It's starting to feel like the world's worst tv season ever which is obviously the final season of How I Met Your Mother.

  10. I'm not loving the new season of Grey's either. However, I love the Stillhouse Lake series! Book 5 came out earlier this month.

  13. I've actually stopped watching Grey's and so many of my favorite shows that have turned so dark with the pandemic stuff-- I feel like I get enough of that in real life that I don't need it in my relaxing TV time stuff too. I read Stillhouse Lake and loved it but was kind of bummed that it was part of a series because I just wasn't sure I had it in me to keep reading to it for the long haul as I both love and hate suspenseful books! LOL.

  14. I couldn't agree more about Greys Anatomy. As much as I have enjoyed it ALL THE YEARS.....I think its time they all hang up their stethoscope's and retire the show. And your lunches look alot like mine. I call them "snunches" snack + lunch!

  15. Love G’s floral Easter dress so much that I bought it for my daughters and they’re wearing them again this year. I don’t remember if anyone saw them a year ago. She should wear it again 🎉

  17. Those sandals look great! I hate they don’t have half sizes...I really am “in between” and when reviews say “true to size”...that means for me one will be too small and one too big :( I was hoping to overhaul my sandals this year so will keep these flagged - they are a great price! Enjoy your Easter weekend!!
