Weekend Top 10

Happy Monday, y'all!  I wasn't planning on doing a weekend recap but this weekend ended up being really fun and full so here we are!

Mason wrapped up his basketball season with a couple of really great games and some points n the board. I mean - look at that running-down-the-court celebration :)

It was a really great season and now he's ready for football to start!

Friday night we grabbed a friend and went and saw a local school production of The Wizard of Oz.  It was WONDERFUL!

We followed up with some late-night ice cream and giggles :)  Is there ANYTHING better than giggling with your girlfriend?

Griffin has been working hard on her Flat Stanley project and this weekend she worked on getting her presentation ready.  So cute!

We got to meet Dave's cousins new baby this weekend and Mason was SMITTEN!!!  He LOVES a baby!

He comes by it naturally :)

Our sweet niece Logan turned one last week and we got to celebrate her this weekend at the SWEETEST dinosaur party.  Everything was absolutely precious!

Cookie for the road?  Yes, ma'am!

Grabbed a picture of what my wakeup call looks like most mornings :)

And after a birthday party, sleepover, basketball game and second birthday party this sweet boy put himself to bed (in my bed) EARLY!

And last, but not least, we ended the weekend at dinner with my parents.  Griffin brought her Stanley scrapbook to show them and she was SO PROUD!

Hoping y'all had a wonderful weekend and that your week is off to a fantastic start!

  2. Totally NOT a negative comment, just genuinely curious - do you all not have to wear masks in public anymore? We haven't had any kind of school plays or gatherings in a year and anything we do have, masks are 100%required. Its crazy how different things are being handled from place to place!

    1. I agree!
I absolutely love hearing about what you're up to and it's not meant to be judgmental. It is wild to see your pictures when where I am the restrictions are really prevalent and no mass gatherings at all.
I'm glad your family and community is healthy and able to life more normally. I can't wait until my kids are back in school, doing normal stuff, etc.

    2. I thought the same thing! We just had our first in-person band show this weekend and it was household members only, everyone masked, socially distanced groups, etc.. I wish we were back to normal enough to have plays (I miss theatre so much!)

    3. We're wearing masks when/where required and have been so very grateful for so many "normal" activities like school, sports, church, parties, etc. Praying your families are able to get back to "normal" activities sooner rather than later!

  4. I agree, My son and his family live in Frisco Tx. And to see how they are living , it’s like another world from how things are in the Midwest where I live. I’m happy to see them in school and activities, but I’m hoping they can continue with no repercussions. We all want normalcy back, that’s for sure.

    1. We've been fairly "normal" here since August and it's gone amazingly well for our school and community. Praying we can continue staying healthy while resuming even more "normalcy"!

  5. That looks like such a fun weekend and I am so incredibly happy to see all that you guys are able to do. We don't have spectators at sports and no theater productions of any kind up here either so it's wonderful to see all that you can do!

  7. My 2nd grader starts her Flat Stanley project next week! We still have to figure out who to send it to, but she’s so excited. I’m so thankful I was familiar with Flat Stanley because of you and your family. Thank you for that! 💛
