Ultimate Oreo No-Bake Dessert

I needed something relatively quick and no-bake a few weeks ago and decided to give this recipe a go.  It was a HUGE crowd pleaser and incredible simple to put together.  I've made it to go along with a meal for a friend last week and then again for our family and it's everyone's new favorite.  Next time I make it I'll take a better "finished product" pic but every time I've made it it's been devoured before I think of it!

Here's What You'll Need...
- 2 packages double stuffed Oreo cookies
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 2 packages (3.9 oz) instant chocolate pudding mix
- 3 1/4 cups cold milk
- 2 containers of cool whip (8 oz each)
- 1 block softened cream cheese
- 1 cup powdered sugar

Here's What You'll Do...

Step 1 - Whisk together the millk and pudding mixes.  Refrigerate until it sets up (not as long as you think it'll take!)

Step 2- Crush up an entire bag of the oreos. We put them in a ziplock bag and used a rolling pin.  You don't want them to be fine crumbs... more of just smallish chunks.

Step 3- Pour the crushed oreos into your 9x13 pan and pour the melted butter on top.  Mix it all together and then press it into the bottom of the pan to make the crust.

Step 4 - In a medium bowl stir the cream cheese until it's smooth.  Add in the powdered sugar and stir until combined.  Fold in one container of the cool whip and then spread it over the cookie crust.  Next, take the chocolate pudding and spread that over the cream cheese mixture layer.  Spread the second container over the pudding layer and finish it with a few more crushed oreos (from the second package)

Step 5 - Refrigerate for a couple of hours and then ENJOY!!!

This would be so easy to adapt into individual servings (think those little crystal plastic cups) and you could easily make it Halloween-ish with some BOO cake topper letters.  It's absolutely delicious and while I was totally skeptical of the "crust" situation it is SO SO SO GOOD!

Happy Monday, friends!!!

  3. Love this dessert! I do crush up my Oreos for crust in my food processor, and it works wonderfully and is so fast! We call this chocolate lasagna!

  4. We make something very similar and love to top ours with a little drizzle of hot fudge too! It's easy to swap up flavors with different types of pudding too. Yum!
