What's Up Wednesday

Today I'm linking up with  Shay and  Sheaffer to talk a little bit about what's been going on around here!

LOTS of yummy treats.  I brought dessert to small group this week and tried out a couple of new recipes that I'm so excited to share in the next couple of weeks.

This showed up on my facebook memories last weekend and it totally made me tear up.
This was YESTERDAY, friends!

This neutral stack of GORGEOUS bracelets.  Handmade, amazing quality and will go with everything this Fall/Winter.  If you shop anything from Allie and Bess make sure you use the code ANDREA10 for 10% off.

Mason has been posing with our neighbors cars on a post-swim walk so that he can show the picture to his buddies :)

Having to move this sweet girl to get the milk :)

My flipped classroom is going SO WELL and I've been having the best time working on filling my class periods with fun and engaging guided practice activities.  One of my FAVORITES was this escape room that I did last year.

Our school has had some really fun "spirit" activities happening around campus one of which was the lower school kids getting to run through the football tunnel on their way to lunch.  I'm SO EXCITED to be back on campus!

The kids and I pressed pause on our nightly reading aloud of The Wild Robot but we picked it back up this week and are loving it!

I've started listening to this during my planning period and am really liking it!  It's a departure from my regular true crime podcasts but after some crazy vivid dreams over the past few weeks I decided to maybe tone it down on the murder stories I was listening to. hahaha

Inside Radio Launches "Extra Close-Up: Podcasters." First Up, Josh ...

These pajamas.  Every night.  I want to live in them.  I already ordered a long sleeve pair because they're the softest and coolest thing EVER to sleep in.

I think that this is probably going to be our last weekend of "nothing" before sports pick up and I fully intend to live it up in my pjs :)

I'm so excited for my kids activities to start back up!

Not a whole lot!  I feel like I'm getting my head above water a little bit more this week when it comes to work and have been able to take some bigger breaths.  I'm hoping that next week I feel like I really hit my stride when it comes to juggling in-person and virtual students and classes.

HAPPY Wednesday, friends!!!

  2. I’m a middle school teacher too - but English instead of math. : ) We are in person with masks on, but I have one 7th or 8th grader who is virtual in each class. I’m having a hard time feeling “connected” and building a rapport with them. This is something I’m good at in person, but I’m working on this new challenge. Do you have any suggestions that have worked for you?
    Thanks, Andrea!

  5. If you like Stuff You Should Know, you should try Reply All! I can relate on needing a break from the true crime stuff and both of these were great for me.
