Happy Friday, friends!!! WE MADE IT through the first week of school! I am WIPED but everything went well and all of our hearts are full.
Erika and I are so excited that lots of y'all are linking up with us and if you're linking up with us make sure you grab our graphic, link back to one (or all!) of us and share your own Friday Favorites post.
Since my kids missed out on meet the teacher while they were at camp we headed up last weekend to let Luke find his locker (and practice his combination) and to let Mason and G peek in the windows of their new classrooms. It definitely wasn't the same hustle and bustle as meet the teacher night BUT the perk was an empty campus ;)
Top locker!!! So exciting ;)
And then this happened ;) hahaha
This was from a couple of weeks ago but I don't think I shared it on here! Luke went to a kickstart event at church welcoming new 6th graders to youth group and it was a crazy full circle moment! Y'all - I remember sitting in Sunday school and telling our class I was pregnant, and bringing him to service the weekend we brought him home and dedicating him as a baby on stage and just all the things and now he's in YOUTH GROUP! So proud of this kid!
I ordered this set of pajamas (but in the short sleeve top) and they're my FAVORITE purchase from the Nordstrom anniversary sale. They are ridiculously soft, but almost cool to the touch. They fit great and I love them so so so much! I always size up one in pjs because I don't want anything even remotely tight/fitted when I sleep and I absolutely ADORE them!
Family reading time kind of fell through the cracks this summer with late night swims and ice cream runs and what not but with school starting back we've brought it back as well and it's my FAVORITE time of the day. You can read more about reading time HERE.
Picking our FAVORITE 4th grader up from football!
Luke and Haha had on some of their FAVORITE Texas Tech gear and I went to take a picture to send to my brother and Mason was having NONE of it!
I ordered this set from Free People a while ago and it's a new FAVORITE. I initially bought it strictly as lounge wear but I wore the pants with my spirit shirt for the first day of school and got a TON of compliments! I'm seriously considering ordering the black set because I love the pants that much. I'm wearing my regular size and I'll admit that they are CRAZY high waisted - but if that doesn't bother you they're great!
LOOK AT THESE BIG KIDS!!! Seeing them in their uniforms again is my FAVORITE!
And a few more first day pictures because #momlife ;)
Since parents couldn't come onto campus like a normal first day (we're not allowing 2nd - 12th grade parents on campus for dropoff or pickup) the school set up this cute little photo op and sent every elementary parent a picture of their kid with the mascot ;) FAVORITE!!!
I'm almost embarrassed to admit my last FAVORITE but I grabbed them on my way out the door the other day and they're my new FAVORITE snack ;) Don't knock them until you've tried them! TRUST ME!!!
I hope y'all have a wonderful weekend - my plans include prepping a ton of stuff for school next week AND sleeping in :)
Happy Friday!!!

I love all the first day/ school pics! I think that's so sweet of you all to send the parents the mascot pic. What a great idea! I've had my first week back as a teacher this week (students start virtually 8/26) and I'm exhausted! I hope for an early bedtime tonight! Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteAndrea, you HAVE to try the graham cracker sticks with Cake Batter Dip. 1 box of funfetti cake mix, 1 cup of plain or vanilla yogurt, 1 8oz container of cool whip. Stir ingredients together and add extra sprinkles if desired. Use the graham crackers for dipping. It tastes just like Dunkaroos from the 90s!

ReplyDeleteThose Graham snacks are so good, but even more amazing dipped in key lime pie dip. We love this recipe... https://thesaltymarshmallow.com/key-lime-pie-cheesecake-dip/
ReplyDeleteThose PJ's are my favorite too! I have the short ones and the long ones and I ordered the short sleeve version and another short pair thru the sale. Nothing else comes close!
