Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends!!! I'm not going to lie - I'm typing this up on Thursday afternoon and we just got word that they're extending Spring Break a week and my head is kind of spinning right now.  I'm still trying to process it all and am just crossing my fingers that classes can resume normally after next week.

Erika, Narci and I are so excited that lots of y'all are linking up with us and if you're linking up with us make sure you grab our graphic, link back to one (or all!) of us and share your own Friday Favorites post.

First on my list of FAVORITES is when one of your co-workers gives your kids all her kids old play weapons and your daughter loses her dang mind :) hahaha

This little girl skipping along happily with her daddy is a FAVORITE...

... and this "mermaid Jesus" art (it's supposed to be Jesus on a boat but it looks like a mermaid hence the "mermaid Jesus" name) was a FAVORITE from the take-home-folder.

Slow mornings watching cartoons with Gary Patterson?  FAVORITE.

It was HOT here this week (and by HOT I mean 85 - Lord, help me this Summer) and I for sure broke out my  new FAVORITE dress and  trusty self tanner (which apparently I forgot how to apply over the past few months - hahaha)

When we had dinner with friends last weekend I put together this quick tray to share and it was a hit!  This kind of tray is for sure my FAVORITE kind of thing to bring to a party.

One of my FAVORITE moments from last week?   Picking up all three kids from an impromptu sleepover following a dinner with friends :)   It was a first for Mason and G and they had a blast!

G and I stopped in at my FAVORITE nursery this week and came home with the weirdest fern of all time.  I love it so much!

Other FAVORITES from the week were reading time...

... and lots of playing time :)

And we have  a new FAVORITE game.

Mason and Griffin have been VERY into playing cafe and mason asked if he could Make his sister a rainbow balloon arch.  He helped me blow up the balloons (just ones out of my leftovers stash) and strung them all on himself.  His proud little face was my FAVORITE!

Yesterday we visited one of our very FAVORITE places -  Play Street Museum in Allen.  We hung out, played, painted pottery and had the best time.

I'm just going to go ahead and say it because I know you're probably wondering - Play Street was SPOTLESS! It's the cleanest play place I've ever been to on a regular day and Dave and I both commented yesterday on how incredibly clean it was.

They're hosting a make your own slime event on Sunday and our plan is to be there with clean hands ;)  (Click  HERE if you and your clean hands want to make slime too)

Hoping that y'all have a wonderful weekend and praying for safe and healthy travels for everyone!

You are invited to the Inlinkz link party!

  2. That pic of your daughter is so funnny! The play place seems like a lot of fun. I am hoping rain will stop here soon since kids will be home till the end of month: want to incorporate daily hikes or bike rides in our days.

  3. Looks like a great week. Enjoy your extended Spring Break! Do you have a link to the wood board/box for your charcuterie tray? Love the higher sides that would make it easy to transport.

  4. Looks like you had a great week; I love the movement you caught in her skirt as she's skipping along with dad. We have most all schools and activities and events shut down for a minimum of two weeks starting Monday. I hope you get to enjoy your extended spring break but that we can get back to normal life routines soon.

  5. Mason did a great job on the balloon arch. When I saw it on Insta I thought you had made it. Enjoy your extra week. Our schools are out here in WV indefinitely as of today.
